When I informed her that I did not know HOW to ballroom dance (at that time anyway, I have taken lessons since) she looked at me completely dumbfounded and said "ALL American men know how to ballroom dance. Since The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift came out, movie has become copycat action on the streets of Moscow at night. Much of the violence in Moscow during the 1990's had to do with Hollywood action movies. Living in America you know what the reality is, but living abroad, you don't know what is for fiction and what is for real. One of the American women I mentioned above, her exact words to her husband's sexual advances were: "Is he joking..I gotta wake up at 6." She was only 34, but she had become permanently physically exhausted. She left him and her 4 children, and ran off with a Moroccan. One of the girls who's boyfriend wanted her to prostitute, he would call her every hour - presumably to watch over her - but her rational was: "He just worries about me." But she is living, working and studying in the States because she knows its the good life, where she has opportunity to do well and make something of her life. She knows the men in the States are going to treat her 10x better than those from the FSU. She knows the divorse rate in the FSU is the highest in the world and that the problems she discribes are far worse there.
