Thanks Kingarthur for the comment re cars - it was the example above of "today: 4am at serbian border". For example at the border:
The customs official lady didn't believe my car was purchased in UK to be sold to my company in Montenegro (ie: exported) - so she checked the chasis number, saying she doubted the car could go through Romanian customs.
But long and behold the Romanian customs officals let me through just by checking my passport. Long live EU borders.
Revise ure history. Romanians are latin. So is half of Moldova. Moldovans go to Romania or to the countries that Romania go to, namely Italy, Spain and if they are lucky to Germany or Canada. Nowhere else really.
As far as people trafficking between FSU and EU in 1990's, best look at a UN or EU people traffic report.
It might be a good business though to transport Romanians from Italy and Spain back to Romania. This is following the Romanian president's recent address to Italian and Spanish media urging Romanians to prevent a growing gap in the market economy. Simple maths really: if Romanians don't return, and unless other nationalities come in to fill the gap, Romania will not be able to implement the billions of euros sitting in Brussels waiting to be spent for the country's upgradable.
Shame really to waste all of the precious EU tax payers money as it sits in Brussels waiting to be spent simply because insufficient capable and competent personnel are available at hand in country to implement and sustain the project outputs for future generations to come. But such is the present reality February 2007.
I couldnt give two hoots about romanian history. I cant even understand what he's going on about coz his sentences dont always make sense. And I dont care how much money is sitting in Brussels. I am sure they will find someway to spend it. Maybe free flights to the FSU for members of fiance to see if their chicks are real or boris. ;)
hey king. Ive been to Romania. To Bucharest, Constanta and Tulcea. Nice women there especially on the black sea coast in the summer. ps I know it isnt a FSU country I was makin a joke about the brussels cash. Anyway, you can fly direct to Bucharest now with wizzair from the UK I think.
Hi BF,
yes, I think that visiting the Black Sea coasts of Romania, Ukraine and maybe Russia in summer must be really pleasing to the eye, I definitely must do it! Maybe it's not advisable to those who have a bad heart :-))))
Thanks for your hint on flights from the UK to Bucharest, though I am afraid It's gonna be unnecessarily tricky to fly from Italy to Romania through the UK...
Forgive me if I am always joking. I think it's my nature, I can't help it. Maye you thought I am English (sorry, British citizen... sorry, UK resident)? For the record, I spent a year in England in 1995/96. Honestly, I don't think my English is so good that I can be taken to be a native English speaker. Admittedly, my English tends to be more British than American, or at least I think so.
