Martin: She met Peter in St. Petersburg. I wonder if mine met Justin at a seminar in... St Justinsburg but she just failed to mention it. I wonder if your Natalia knows my Nadedja since they both come from Yoshkar-Ola, and they write nearly identical letters. I think we should BOTH send each of our girls loads of money to have them come visit us since they both were betrayed is such a similar way. Boredfukka mentions above that he is sending his credit card number and pin ;) I think I shall immediately do likewise and advise you to do the same!

It's easy to test out a card & pin number just trying to buy something on the internet, I guess better to send a fake Western Union number or get his/her bank account details particularly the account name :)

I was getting jealous Martin. Nadejda is mine. All mine. Well, mine and also belonging to the other thousands she might have written to. But just ours. Seriously - I wouldn't waste the time to send either type of fake finacial information to a scammer.

Me neither. In the old days, in early letters, I would always copy & paste them to Microsoft Word to see the any punctuation errors where words (names etc.) may have been added or deleted, we all make punctuation errors! Well I just did it with that letter and it is perfect, this is not a scammer working alone, that letter has been manufactured, not written!

Hi, I am 99.9 % sure of a scammer (not through fiance.com )e-mailling me and so I googled some of 'her'sentences and hey presto! Guess what? On the third page a list of other scamming letters appeared. I suspected from the first letter this was a scam, perhaps I have had too many scammers already write to me! Any suggestions? Lead them on? Send a virus?

Would love to hear from you, with kind regards, TD� Her answer came fast, and the below goes to show that she studied my reply in depth. Boys...!!! I am disappointed...!!! I have had several hours sleep and rushed to my computer and still nothing!!!! Only you mean and nasty men making disparaging remarks about this poor "Software Program" that is working all alone in the dark with no time off, desperately trying to make a living for about 10 yuris. It's just not fare..!!!! Air Fare that is...!!! :-) Just one small point on a serious note that far too many people are overlooking in all of this. The very great percentage of scamming is NOT done by lone wolf women. Most of the letters are now generated by "Receive, Scan, and Auto Edit/Reply" software. There is some pretty high tech shit being used in this game. The ONE AND ONLY thing that keeps the whole industry alive is that dumbarses keep sending money, usually because they are trying to get something for nothing. In other words, they think they can sit at home and "Order in love" like a take out pizza. If these idiots were genuine in themselves and got of their cyber addicted arses and went to visit, the whole thing would collapse overnight. The basic pretense for any scam to succeed is both parties are trying to get something for nothing. If one party, ie: the target, is doing everything stright up, he, in these examples wouldn't put themselves in a position to be ripped off. Charles Sobrash (Spelling..!!) One of the greatest personal con men of modern history remarked that the most difficult person to scam is an honest person. Food for thought. I/O

You may Martin, her eddress is above. This editor cut off my post. The gist of this scam is she tells you she's on the point of getting a visa to 'your' country and plans to visit you, then allegdedly gets her visa but finds out she's got insufficient funds for the ticket. Then, a day later she hears about having to have pocket money so adds this to her request. Then her generous uncle chips in and her requested sum is reduced somewhat, but time becomes precious because she's got only so much holiday left. Svelte Sveta did not read a letter I sent her. My bottom line is that any scam spread must work otherwise they wouldn't do it, and this makes for a scary fact: who in his right mind would send a serious sum of money to a stranger who invites herself to come and visit?

Thunder: Makes you wonder about those Nigerian scams. I mean - THEY take ridiculous to a whole noew level that even THESE scammers don't touch. I can't BELIEVE that anyone would be foolish enough to fall for them. OH SURE - if I just let you use my bank account to deposit the $20 MILLION into - you will be good enough to grant mr 10% for my time and services. Who in their right nimd would fall for that - or hasn't received tens or hundreds of such offers?
