I forget the site, but I thought it was pretty informative. I didn't check to see when the article was written, but it stated that there are 300 women to 1 man advertised on these sites. Also, it said that sometimes the real women can be intimidated by you if you're too good to be true. I personally know guys who meet lots of girls...they are good at sensing what this women is looking for and then lie to make themselves fit the girls fantasy. I imagine, with the empowerment of women going on for decades now, that this is all to frequent a girl's experience. So once they get to the online dating sites, they are more suspicious of lies. Most of all, though, I think it is the prejudice in age. We are supposed to all be married when we are young because we want that and as American boys and girls, we get what we want when we want it. So to be older, like over 34, and not be what 'successful' people are, sends up 'red flags', which become a kind of obstacle course. Frankly, I dont want to marry a women over 34 for the same reason. Given that, there is no bitterness or rancor, its just to my advantage, it seems, to search for a younger bride online. And although I am not supposed to say this to be a real man, I think the inability to have sex, and to just engage in communication, is better. If you were to go out with a women here in the US and not engage in sex after the third date...she would think you were a homosexual. Then you prove her wrong...but then are you really being you? Its all so 'dating by template'; like on Seinfeld; girl was fine until she used a knife to eat peas. Then he dumps her for that reason. Some kind of sexual terror going on. I personally don't really like british women because they are all on big ego trips as to how many men they can pull in front of their friends and how many drinks they can get out of us etc. I don't like the general attitude of british women. Yes there are some decent ones but they are always taken so you never stand a chance. I only recently got into the idea of eastern women, and I have to say the thought of a more reliable women who is sincere is much more appealing than some british woman who you could marry and then divorce 6 months later (and loose 1/2 ur possessions to in the process). I like the idea of a sincere woman who wants a proper future. British and american women don't seem to have the moral values anymore. You know, the one that wants to shape you into the person that fits her fictitous little picture perfect world. My good friend who has married a woman from Eastern Europe has a loving woman who loves him for who he is. He's a computer engineer with a couple of quirks, but she finds him endeering in spite of it. In return he has nothing but praises for how good of a woman she is. Yes...I suppose I could get into that; but I think it would be revealing my bad side, which is bad politics! Certainly would have some enjoyable qualities. Comics bash women well enough! Those women who are so controlling I would tack up to 'maternal instinct' which they have been told is humiliating or stupid...or just not individualistic. There was a new piece on last night, by an old women, looking over all the kick ass chicks in the Movies (Lara Croft, Charlie's Angels), lamenting that this is what empowerment means. I disagreed with her, because I think in the case of the movies, girls kicking guys ass is encouraging...at that age, girls are overcome with men's size, and live in greater fear of being physically overpowered. Also, they might exercise more, which we need in this country. But thats all the 'tabula rasa' theory of teens. What I think the whole 'Empowerment of Girls' has done, is confuse self with being a woman. There is no seperation between being a self and being a woman. Part of the problem of living in a culture that values individuality? Which is something that makes me curious about Russia...and their communist past. I have women both locally and abroad with whom I have had relationships. I have determined that women from anywhere in the world can be quite alike. There are women whom exhibit certain cultural influences regarding family or sexual conservatism, and others which clearly do not. Some of the women I have gone out with abroad can be as demanding as any woman here in the US. One reason is that they may have a child and have been raising that child for some years. They are the "boss" in that household and even though they are looking for their mate, they can be just as dominant as any independent female here in the US. Persoanally I date everywhere because I want to expand my chances for finding my true partner, and not have to settle because of geography or citizenship. Remeber, we have many women here in the states who want doors opened, and to raise a family too. I think the bottom line is the "desperate" label you get when you "seek" a bride or mate. Women are intuitive and seek strong, secure, and confident males, just as we desire beauty and youth in the females. If you just make yourself available and take advantage of the opportunities... you will find them here and abroad. Women do not generally flock to the man who is in the bar looking for the date, but moreso the man in the grocery store who smiles and talks without the feeling that he expects or desires anything else. Women like a challenge too, and a man that is too easy or too willing to kiss her toes is not seen as a "catch" by any means. Hey, it's just my thoughts... I am a Brit and moved over here a year ago. I can say that American women seem to be driven by some kind of crazy ideals. By this I mean a good job, having the best clothes, make up, car, house, husband etc.. But rarely does life meet up to these ideals. But i suspect that it is the pursuit of these things rather than the things the themselves that the women enjoy. They seem to be running around like headless chickens- how do they have any time to actually enjoy the things they have? They are always complaining they can't get a man. But they are so picky and uptight that they don't understand what being in a relationship is all about. Because they are often shallow they keep on falling for that good looking jock who messes them around or they alienate the decent guys who try hard but could never come up to impossible standards or like me get fucked off with constant neurotic and picky behaviour. The difference between here and at home in the UK is at home women seemed much more willing to accept you as the person you really are- rather than try and compare you to some one ideal they have in there head. All of my relationships in the UK were based on having fun. But in the US it has been so much hard work and constant labor. I think I could have more sympathy for American women but they just don't make sense any more. They can't cook, clean, or Iron. They are helpless in many ways now as they have been working so hard to pursue unrealistic ideals of being some kind of "super- woman" and failing. I don't want to be cooked for always- but I also I dont want to be with a woman who things a decent meal is Pizza or at best ham-burger helper. No wonder they all end up fat and depressed by 40- they were never taught how to look after themselves and enjoy what they have rather than bitch about what they don't have. Good luck boys! I notice in your list of what US (and UK too mate) women strive for there is no mention of a stable family, or children !! That would cramp their vicious lust for possessions of course !! I mentioned in another thread that all these overweight, lazy, bitchy women, want is a male model husband but they don't want to make the effort themselves to get one !!! They want it all handed to them on a plate !! And as you say, when they don't get it, boy do they become bitter at 40 !!! They want independence and equality, but they also want to be supported in the style of a queen by their mans money !! Talk about cake and eat it !!! "What is wrong with Western women ?" would be a better title !!! They are so damn materialistic and selfish is what !! And I do mean a huge proportion of them !! Most of these women think "being in a relationship" is having a male slave who will accept being picked up and dropped at their bidding, who will work his arse off to provide everything she wants, hand over almost if not every penny he earns for her to fritter as she chooses, and let them have their own way in absolutely everything, oh !! and not to mention that he will need to put up with her bitching about him to all her friends and family !!!! Mate, the UK is getting just as bad as the US !! Women here want to change the man they choose, then when he becomes what they wanted him to be, they dump him, because "he is not the man they fell in love with any more" !!! And move on to the next victim !!! If life with western women was a game of cards you would fold !! Better to get out while you are ahead than lose your shirt !! The solice I have is that I have a few past women that hopelessly try to get me back. One included is my daughters mother. First time 17 years, second time 20 years..Observations: Wedding vows mean nothing to most american women. The slighest ripple in the pond and they jump ship and swim to a lawyer. NO FAULT, simply means: "she" gets whatever she wants. .An average looking guy has no chance on american dating services.. Some of these old bags will come right out and say " they will not settle for less than tall dark and hansome." Looks are everything with american chicks. My wife had nothing when I married her. I gave her a nice home, new car, nice life and treated her like a queen.. Without warning, without the slightest hint that anything was wrong, she ran off in the middle of the night with a "genttleman" she had been having an affair with. This guy had no job , no car, no home,, He did have a long criminal record in 5 states, armed robery, narcotics trafficing, assult, etc., etc.. Ahhhhhhh, But he sure was a pretty boy with the long blond hair and sky blue eyes. Now she is supporting him on money I had long before she was born. I am german and norwegian, and have spent half my life living in Germany. Not only are the women better in Europe, but so are the men. I have been able to compare, since I went to High School in both Germany and the US. The U.S. has succeeded in creating a completely narcisistic, and shallow society, in which both men and women have been allowed by the media to be exploited to the point of objectivity. I will NEVER marry an American man (hence me choosing to remain single while living in this country). Furthermore, I totally understand men not liking American women. Hell, they are shipping all our jobs overseas so what difference would it make if we all married overseas as well. I just hope, that with our Gluttonous, fat, greedy, self centered, and immature attitudes, we don't end up corrupting those good countries with our influence.
