Where will she submit the application in the first instance. LOL. These speculative comments about what might and mightn't be done are all well and good, but they simply CAN'T be done. :-) Martin_UK: I hear you..:-) I have a bit of an idea of how they think. I've been mixed up with them for more than a decade. LOL I could tell you stories that might even surprise you LOL. Rule number ONE for any Aussies reading. A foreign citizen must sumbmit an application for a visa in the consulate of their country of permanent residence or presiding consulate. Forget about the "I'll change my visa once I am their". Certainly there is visa catagories where this can and does happen, but it simply doesn't apply to singles trying to gain access to Au. Spouse, fiancee' and similar visa applications must be submitted anew if a change is desired. She is full of sh%t.. I had coffee with her last night and her stories didnt stack up. She said that when she arrived here she wanted to have nothing to do with the fiance.... Another interesting thing she told me which I would like to know for future reference.. This poor guy has also had to give her 1200 Euro before she came here because "apparently" she says that A Russian woman cant get through customs without proving that she has 1200 Euro. So she is scared now that her fiance will find her in Australia. She is living with a member of a russian organisation here and obviously going to bars to suck another guy in.... i told her that she was full of it... And that I am not going to digest her crap talk. She found me very intimidating .... Anyway so we left it at that ... She sais she has money to pay rent with this etrhnic group for 2 weeks then she might have to fly back... Shes from a town 100kms from moscow... There is several Russian groups in Au now connected with the Russian M.... you know who. This is a classic "Visa, I'll come to visit you" scam with a personal twist. She is doing it face to face and not on the internet. She is either here on a visitor visa or she is here full time just working the bars for the mob behind her. I met a bloke in Queensland Australia who claimed he photographs Russian girls for his "modelling agency". he even showed me some pics, and after a few beers he showed me the xxx file. Bloody hell! This guy and his russian partner were bringing Russian girls out here (all stunners) on fiance visas and charging the guy here in Aus 10% of their Annual income to do so!... mind you they set a minimum of $10k. After a bit of research I found that nearly ALL these girls would leave/dump their meal ticket "fiance" during the time of their temporary visa. I would lay any money that the "Russian girl in the bar" did just this. By the way, I just found the "photographers" card. Its called immigration fraud and it only serves to make things harder for us blokes to immigrate a genuine woman. I would find out as much about her as possible, where she is living and rat her in to the Federal Police and Immigration department as a fraudster so she gets the boot she deserves from this country.
