Baz: You've got a million and one choices. Pick a city on the map and you'll find any amount of super ladies there if you play your cards right. Depends what you want. I depart from Mike's view a little in so far as I can see merrit in some of the bigger city women. I don't agree they are all spoiled bitches. But hey ya gotta remember, Moscow, Kiev and some others provide a pretty good lifestly for some and no woman is going to want to trade down. That is just how it is.
I suggest you pick cities that have airports with international status such as the obvious bigger ones, then the likes of Odessa, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok and there is a couple of others with international status. That's just a suggestion, but if you picked one and shot it out, that would keep you going for quite a while.

I "was" headed to Ukraine but the wisdom of you guys have me reconsidering going a little later this year so I can investigate a bit more...Thank ya'll for your info!
Hi Baz...I guess I'm one of the more fortunate ones as far as chasing the skirts of a Russian lady. I'm engaged and about 1/2 way through the K-1 visa process.
I met my fiance online at eecl.org three years ago and she's well within in my age group, no young hottie but beautiful at the age 47.
We corresponded and talked on the phone for a year before she invited me over to meet her. She also requested that I stay in her apartment with her to save money and to experience day to day living with each other. I flew from Atlanta to JFK to Moscow and was met in Moscow at SVO by she and her two young daughters.
We spent one night in Moscow with her sister and then took the overnight train to their city.
The next five days together was a huge learning experience for both of us. She knew little English and I new no Russian but the twins could both speak English almost fluent so they did the mouth work for us.
The closer it came time for me to leave and fly back home the lump was in my throat and my heart was sad and she said she felt the same way.
We had a lot of dialog between us as time was running out on my visit and all four of us knew our lives were different now because of our long correspondence and finally a visit. During our long correspondence it gave us time to work out some of our culture differences and gave her some answers she needed to know about relocating the three of them to a new and strange country to them.
We spent our last night together in the Novetel Hotel in Moscow Centre...very expensive but I had planned this because they had never stayed in a hotel before.
It was one of the saddest days in my life when I had to leave them standing in SVO when I walked away from them to go into customs. The flight home was long and different for me.
My expenses for that trip including train fare to and from Moscow, plane tickets, visa, hotel, I bought all the food, some clothes for the twins, and I left them some spending money...cost was about $2500.00.
6 months later I returned for 12 days and got engaged...an awsome trip for us...cost was about $2500.00 again.
I just got home from another trip and the cost was a little over $3000.00.
This far into the visa process has cost me several 100 dollars....probaably another $1000 before they get their visa then there will be the expense of bringing them to their new home.
After the first trip and finding out her salary was only $175.00 a month and that she was an honest lady with hard times rasing two daughters I offered to help her but she refused...so I sent them money anyway.
After our engagement, I buy all the twins clothes, gave them a new laptop, send the twins to summer camp, and help when she runs out of money...she always keeps receipts and gives them to me which I asked her not to do.
The process is expensive but you can do it if you take the advice some of the guys in here have given you...go slow and be careful and you can succeed.
Good luck on your search....think with your brain and not your pants...
Put a listing on Craigslist to get your feet wet. It's free, and keep an eye open for a scam. Be honest with your financial situation. Simply just be honest. Never send money to someone you have never met in person. And don't fall in love with a photograph.
If you visit, think of it as a vacation. There are a lot of keyboard Cassanova's, very few actually make a personal visit.
If you decide to make a visit, stay with her in her City and around her friends and family. Pay attention how her family and friends interact with her, also her habits. Go to her home look around. Look for red flags. Maybe upset her a little, just to see how she reacts. If she goes for the kitchen knife, that's a red flag.
Keep in mind that it is easy to have a good time when you're on vacation, but, you are looking for a wife. It isn't cheap and it could be the biggest mistake in your life. So choose wisely.
my impression is to go to Russia you need a visa and Ukraine not and it will give you
extra 200$.other thing to consider in big cities chicks are spoiled and you have this
at home.my understanding is some sites like russian-women.net will sell you addresses,e-mails and
phone numbers and it looks more promising as you can communicate in advance.
my experience tells me most women way too smart unless you looking for one night stand.
try to communicate for as long as possible and meet for at least a week.
I would like to say that before anyone starts immigration paper work make sure your girl knows and understands that her passport is not going to be expired during her time on fiancé visa. This has happened to me and she had to go back to take care of getting new passport. Another problem has arrived which is probably going to scuttle the whole deal but can’t really go into details on that point.
My last comment is that if you have any doubts about your girl you really need to bring them to her attention otherwise these doubts can divert your attention from what you should be focusing on and get you sidetracked.
1. Communication is the foundation to a successful relationship. If you can maintain correspondence for several months you will know 2 things. 1) She is not a scammer. 2) You have laid the foundation to a relationship of good communication.
2. Physical attraction is very important as well. It is easy to fall in love with a photo. But photos, like letters, tend to be edited. Photographers and scammers can work miracles with photos. Some of the ladies have not updated their profile photos in quite some time. A face to face visit will bring to an end any doubt of what you are dealing with. A trick I used was to have her send new photos often. I in turn would send photos of me that were date stamped. We both knew what we were getting.
Now of these two points, I believe that communication is the more important of the two. But that is my opinion. Some men believe that physical attributes are the more important thing. You decide what works for you. I got very lucky and got the best of both worlds. She has character, charm, class, beauty, brains and is a little sassy! Perfect for me but maybe not the next guy. I know that she turned down several men before accepting me. She was not in it for the free ride out of Mother Russia.
Good luck to those of you who choose to follow this path. It is not easy and it is not cheap. Choose wisely. But beware of this; if you cannot develop a relationship in your home country, your long term success will be in doubt no matter where you go. The key to finding the woman of your dreams is to make sure you are the man of her dreams.
I see the regular mob have put there views across !!! There are many beautiful women in the FSU that are looking for genuine partners abroad. Just be realistic, do not think that the most beautiful girl will want to marry a short fat balding man. I do not know you, your age or your appearance, I am just telling you to be realistic. If you meet a lovely girl, treat her like a princess. There are many rich men in the FSU. If she is that pretty, she will meet a man in her own country. She will only move and leave her family and friends if you can show her a better way of life. So show her how you live your life, treat her to special meals and enjoy yourselves. Why would a beautiful girl leave the safety of her home, family and friends if she is not going to improve her life style? They are not all scammers, but be prepared and have your guard up. I recently met an American man in Kiev. He was trying to meet girls on the cheap, and could not understand why they did not want to meet him after two dates. These girls are looking for a better life style, A better standard of living. Show them that you can give them a better life, and they will warm to you. If you do not treat them like a princess and spoil them, why should they leave the FSU? BUT!! Do not be taken for a ride. If they insist on an interpreter, It would suggest that they are working with the agency. If a girl is serious about you, she will be willing to use a dictionary to help her talk to you. If she is serious about you, she will work to communicate with you. Just remember, she is not a piece of meat that you can buy at a meat market, she is a woman looking for love and a man to support her and the children you produce. Family is a huge part of their lifes. Good luck and ignore the predictable mob that have no luck. The main rule of meeting a girl from the FSU is, They are Ladies, not whores. Also, The first time you meet her, be well dressed!!!! No shorts, old T-shirts or trainers. They believe in " First Impressions ". So wear shoes, trousers and a shirt. Show her that she is worth the effort to make your self look good for her, because she will make the effort to look good for you. And do not get drunk!!!! Also give her a small present or flowers when you meet her for the first time. BUT NEVER!!! give her an even number of flowers. In England we give 12 roses a as geasture of love or care, but in the FSU, an even number of flowers are for funerals. Give her 11 or 13, but never 12. Or even just one, but never give her an even number of flowers. Also never forget 8th of March!! This is International Womans Day. Bigger than Valentines day in Europe, forget to congratulate her on this day and you will be history. Believe me, I made this mistake once. I wish you all the best on your new adventure.
As a "newbie", not just in here, but the whole finding a woman in Ukraine thing, I found your above post invaluble, didn't have a clue about the odd numbers of flowers and Womens day etc.
I think it's posts like yours that really help us "virgins"
Taganrog is a very different town from what I am used to. For that matter, Russia is very different as well. But I tried not to be critical of their culture but instead tried my best to embrace it and understand it.
The first thing I noticed was a lack of what I would call road rules. But it works for them. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Next were the apartment blocks. This was a little hard to swallow. In America we would look at these and call them slums or projects. Much to my surprise, the interiors of these apartments were immaculate. I guess what they lack in homeowner associations they more than make up for in interior design and decoration. It changed my outlook on what Russians value. It appears that they are not concerned with exterior looks but inner beauty is top on their list. Each apartment I visited in some way reflected the qualities of the owner. It was an eye-opening experience.
I met several family members and friends and all were good people with hearts of gold. I am proud to have met all of them.
The town itself was laid out much differently than American towns. We are used to shopping malls and Wal-Marts. They have a million little shops that are spread over vast areas. It is very much like the markets in Central America. Adds a new flavor to shopping that you just can't experience in USA.
The center of town surrounds the Depaldo Stairs and Pushkinskaya Quay. The stairs were built by a rich Greek man in the 1800's to facilitate access to the beach. Taganrog sit high above the beach (maybe 150-200ft elevation). Surrounding the bottom of the stairs is Pushkinskaya Quay, a beautiful park with jazz musicians and other street attractions that make it a must to visit. At the top of the stairs you will find a few really nice restaurants and much shopping. Although it took awhile, my lady finally found a store that had just the right outfit and I bought it for her. I am glad I was patient with her because she looked like Venus de Milo in it. Also, not far from the top of the Depaldo Stairs is the Taganrog Baskin Robins. A delightful retreat from the heat wave that was hitting the town.
The people were the best and though I was with the most beautiful woman in town, there were many runner ups enjoying the evening air. If I was not committed to my lady, I am sure that opportunity would have presented itself in short order.
Rostov was much like Taganrog only bigger and busier. Seemed to take forever to reach the airport. Both towns seem to suffer from not having major thoroughfares. I think that is a European thing. Here in USA we have many major roads to carry traffic in and out of cities. Not so in Taganrog. But again it seems to work for them. There is no rule that says we are better and it must be done our way. I suggest you open your mind and enjoy a different way of living. You might learn a few things along the way. Enjoy the river cruise and riverside cafes.
I am not much of a travel agent. These are a few of the insites I can offer to what I thought was a wonderful town and a remarkable experience. Go there yourself and have your own experience. See what you think.
Thanx Bill

You dont want cynical opinions but reality right? fellow Aussie here .. id suggest you email me and Ill tell you the reality . I think my expereinces will help you
1stly do you realise the amount of red tape involved in getting a Ukrainian girl to Australia???? maybe Aussieman can tell you .... We have the toughest most stringent system in the world.... Whilst we get asians and muslims in by the truckload a russian has a big battle.... From my understating 80% plus fiance visa applications are knocked back.. they expect you to travel many many times... So you better have $30000 with trips , visas , paperwork , government charges and lawyers to help you... Now this is presuming you are smart enough to avoid Ukrainian girls who dont give a toss about you in the 1st place...
Ive been there 3 times. Ive never married a Russian girl but i want you to know the fact that after all of this you have a big homesick issue to solve forthe girl thats if you ever manage to get her to Aus
Ha, our story was funny... maybe will write later... but just I'll say that I din't want him, and
he came on first meeting dressed like ... mama mia....
I should clean him, clean and clean... everything, even rubbish from his brain.
Finally I saw the MAN I like wow ) ) )) ) he really did his best for me and treat me like Queen as I deserve.
Visa seems to be a long process but no metter, it will be done.
And will say you that HE spent about 40 000$ just for the trip. It's not the end )) ) Life is life. So, be ready.
