Its a bit like putting a stake in the ground and claiming your territory. If we are looking for "one" then it is where we want the relationship to lead. It shows some care in a relationship. Of course we do not want paranoia. The main girl I write to, gets a lot of interest from other guys, it is possible to see on the site just how many guys are checking her out. But she is a very loyal girl, she is not writing to anyone else. She would happily leave the site tomorrow if I asked. That loyalty is important me. I would not interested in spending a lot of time, effort and money on a girl that already has a boyfriend or continues to write to a dozen guys, or has a different guy visiting her every few weeks. Its not what I expect from a girl that Im getting serious with. So I am just as jealous as they are and its natural for them to expect the same. While the girls continue to write to many, they havent begun to be serious. Some people put no value on letter writing at all. It is easy to stay online for hours and send hundreds of msgs back and forth, or to many. You can see if a person is online and it leaves the exact time to the minute, when they last logged off. If my girl leaves a msg for me I often notice the time she sent it to me is the same minute she logs off. This tells me she is not sitting online talking to a lot of other guys. After you have used the site for a while, it is very easy to tell if people are talking to others. The main reason I still use the site is because it is a very convenient way to comunicate. Much quicker than using email. Also all messages are saved as one big long script. I was on a site one time called over 30something(??)and it was based in europe but had mostly US and Canadians and they had a private side area you can message someone if you were both on site and agreed go to it. Kind of interesting. The average attempt at romance by Boris is "we meet for sex?" It is not hard to do a little better than that. Have a look at love.mail.ru Its a slice of life, there is everything, from scammers and prostitutes, to ordinary girls and guys. Good looking and not so good looking. I know on my babylon site, some words or phrases do not translate well. Also, when sending something in Russian to girls, they say I have used wrong word. To translate something well you need to know the whole sentence and the idea of what you are trying to say. Imagine getting constantly swarmed with popup video-chat requests for $2/min from pug-uglies and literally several dozen small text msg type letters filling up your inbox with words filled with insincerity every time you log on. They will not post their actual costs anywhere you can find them. You usually have to personally ask the staff about these things to find out how much meeting a girl on their site will actually cost you...
