I even admire women who have no use for men. I've been in a few relationships where the woman thinks she's "entitled". That is a fifties attitude where women sat at home cooking and cleaning. Example - When I went to the first Romance Social in Odessa - I met a wonderful Moldovan. A buddy I met at the event hooked up with my lady's friend (also from Moldova) and the four of us went out a few times. The Moldovan ladies were beautiful, and 23 years old, both however were also unemployed. As things transpired, I had a chance to see how much money my lady had. She was the keeper of the cash for the two of them. She had all of $3 - plus the two bus tickets back to Chisinau, Moldova. After going out for dinner twice my buddy, came up with the brainiac idea that WE shouldn't pay for another meal. If these ladies liked us then it should be even-steven across the board and they should pay for half the dates. Try as I might I couldn't get across to him that they had NO MONEY. He insisted that we were being taken advantage of. Many of us ARE looking for wives. But the playing field is not level. We DO make a hell of a lot more money than most of them do. SO if you really do care for a lady there is nothing wrong with spending a little something on them. The lady I am now seeing recently spent the quivalent of $40 on just POSTAGE to send a parcel to me. I didn't ask her to do it. She surprised me. But that $40 represented what she makes in EIGHT DAYS! (SHe is from Ukraine and makes 25 grievna per day. At 5 grievna to the dollar thats $5 per day). So if a lady want you to spend a LITTLE on her its not so bad. Now when she starts DEMANDING - you have to draw the line though somewhere. My first trip to Ukraine I’ll never forgive myself for not equating soon enough the peanuts I was spending to the fortune coming out of her purse. She kept tipping the staff and taxi drivers because I kept forgetting. After a few days I realized and tried to square her for her money but she would have none of it. After that my estimation of her hit the stratosphere. She gave me some going away presents that could have cost her a couple of day’s wages. If an Australian makes $700 dollars a week and lived like a person in Ukraine with no car (walked everywhere), a small flat, only a small percent of meat in the diet maybe he could live for $100 dollars a week. The rest is to better his life or luxury so this would make 86% luxury and 14% necessity. So if a Ukrainian makes $200 dollars a month and spends money for the bare necessities then luxury money is a very very small percentage if at all. I think it is a much different sacrifice to spend extra money than to spend the money for your food for a week. You guys who have been in the markets in Ukraine imagine if you made $200 a month you owned your flat so you did not have to pay rent, your utilities were $70 a month so you have $130 or $4.33 a day to buy all of your food toilet paper, water, hygiene products and other necessities. Then a foreign man that makes 14 times as much money as you do tells you that you should be able to spend half of your salary on him. But it gives her advantages over wage earners. Capitalists have captital (money to invest). You don't say how she acquired her shop, but she is fortunate to have one. Big difference though between making $100 per day like your lady, and $5 per day like mine. Most of those jobs you see posted are more like the $5 type. ANd turnover is high as wages are so small and practically unlivable. My lady has one advantage as well - she lives with her parents. SO she isn't using that $5 per day to put food in her mouth or a roof over her own head. Thats not normal for Russia. I doubt a hair dresser makes that sort of cash in Aussie. In moscow that would even be good. Petrol has skyrocketed to $1.60 a litre today where I live, just outside of Melbourne, I live in the home of the Cats football club, Aussie guys who follow AFL will know where I am, hint..they won the 2007 AFL grand final! Most Australian men can not afford it. $700 take home a week is a basic tradesman wage. Only about 15% of the Australian working population make $100,000 0r more a year in salary/wages, most over 50% make an average of $50,000 a year or less. Money does not go far here..rump steak, over $20 a kilogram, cheap crappy sausages $5 a kilogram, potatoes around $2 a kilogram..food is very expensive, electricity is expensive, internet here is expensive and it goes on and on! Aussies spending 10 to 20k on a personal visit and fiance paperwork for a Russian/Ukraine woman..its way out of the affordable budget and the personal visit is a huge expense and these women think nothing of it because they think we have money coming out of our arses and the streets are paved in gold here..well hello FSU ladies!..this is reality, not fantasy..very few pots of gold at the end of the rainbow in Australia! For an average Australian $20,000 to spend on a personal trip to Ukraine including the fiance paperwork costs amounts to at least 2 years worth of hard saving working here!
