If you in desperation need something to tell her why you are there - say you visit friends or look her deep in her ayes and say "I not remember - just now I realize I come here to meet you" - maybe that will do it. :) Obiusly you have some addiction to get a Ukraine woman in some way. I think you like the play more than getting a wife home. You are just like the one going to the casino and pull the one arm bandit - you win some penny but lose the main pot. Some people make the same mistakes over and over. When you say you used so much money as 50g - it is maybe time to take a break and realize you must do something wrong. OOaaaoo! For this kind of money - to see it in perspective you could get laid in Ukraine every day in many years - if you go to Asia you would get a wife and also build two houses for that money. Don't you see that you constantly keep loosing your money? And who you give this money? - people and agencies you already know scam you? If your budget including the same spending for the future - please give me the 50g - and I will be your private matchmaker. Or maybe I will write a tread here about hove to get your wife in Ukraine for 100 pound - (including traveling and taxes). :) Joke aside - if you truly is looking for a wife - please know it is a woman for all of us somewhere - it is only to find her. If she must have long legs and be 25 years younger than you - that obviously limit the selection. But I guess if you looking for a wife - most important is to find a true friend and soul mate - and not a price object to brag to friends about. Legs are legs and what is in between them is not all that different from one woman to another - I promise you. (the big different is not between their legs but between their ears). When that settled - what about you? What you have to offer? Is it something in your behavior that not make you successful? I not think so - as I say before it is a woman for all of us. You obviously have some money to provide in a marriage - and you get laid from time to time - so it can not be that bad? You have to set yourselves some realistic goals and rules and follow them. If she must be from Ukraine - okay that number one. Next a realistic age level you both can live with. You want her to have children or not? - and so on. Search the different agencies for that woman. Even better is to set up a good profile of yourselves with different pictures on a site that the woman can find you. (f.ex. TAU2)- be honest and write serious, realistic and friendly about what you want. And ask what her goal is. Not empty your pockets at one time - take it step bye step. With a friendly communication over some time you soon find out if she is serious. Speak on the phone if possible. Send her some pictures - postcard or book from your place - maybe some music if she likes. Build up a relation before you go and meet her. Then you know and have some feelings about each other before first meeting. I will say the art of dating is to use your head in communication before meeting. So if you find someone you feel closer to in communication - focus on her and go and visit only her. Of course it can go wrong but she knows you come to visit only her and go home. No more hanky panky and not any back up - it is always mess up. Better take another trip later. If your meeting is a success - next step is to take her home for some holly days - show her and let she see also your environment. It is her future home - right? Okay you almost get there - it is a little process - but usually you know from the moment you see her first time and writing some letters that it is love in the air. It is a nice feeling to flow on and plan future together. At any rate, you give a good road map. my reasons for starting a business in ukraine isn't totally related to finding somebody. I've been doing the same thing for 17 years, I 've saved some money, and I'd like to try something different. I thought it might be a fun and enriching experience. Actually meeting someone I could love would definitely be the icing on the cake. Hey, you only live once. Myself had the same toughts a few times since I have been visiting Kiev for the last couple of years. I work in rotations as well, 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off this for the last 18 years and since I am single(div) when I go home in my duty time off, I just get bored of doing nothing. I work in the aviation industry and can speak 5 languages more or less fluently. I think Ukraine is a country full of resources, not to mention the women, and once they get rid of the corruption and start with a social system to favour the all population instead of just a few, mainly in the big cities, business is going to be very good. But my opinion is that Kiev is not the best choice, maybe another city, like Kharkov or something else. I am off to Kharkov in a week and will see how it is. Starting business in Ukraine just to meet a girl is the same as cutting a tree to make a match. Don't be afraid of meeting real girls in Ukraine, especially in Nikolaev, my native city. It is not so complicated. The girls here are mostly friendly, sociable and extremely good-looking. Let me give you an example. A good friend of mine from South Africa came here to find a bride. His first three visits here were through several marriage agencies. And guess what? Total scam. He had wasted his time and money before he, occasionaly, met me. He looked very suprised when I asked him "Why don't you just pick up?" We went to the central street and just talked to girls (no magic), exchanged phone numbers, invited for a cup of coffee or to the cinema (no expensive restaurants, no shopping and all that stuff). He wasn't successful with every girl, of course, but at least he found his wife to be. All local guys here do the same. Just be yourself and you will be lucky. Some women even took the initiative to just try to talk to me. Maybe that's because I am different (not white), they would ask what I was doing in Ukraine. There were plenty of girls in the streets and in malls that eye locked with me. The discos were about five girls to one guy. They loved to dance with each other or just by themselves. Some of them told my girlfriend they wish they could find a nice guy like me. One of my friends (an Australian guy) called it "The Broken Heart's Hotel). They seat there all the time drinking their cappuccino and wasting their time (after they wasted all their money). They are sad, scammed and desparated. And instead of looking for women they’re looking at women. And they cannot even imagine that in our country we have simple relationships between people. Well thats called ilusion or perception induction, the girl that seem so beautifull in the pics, well, she wasnt, and worst of it, I dont say beauty is everything but she was so dumb, I couldnt believe it! She was very fluent in the letters and when I saw her staying a few days she could barelly say a few words of English. But anyway great experience, in winter f...cking cold, streats covered in ice and just the day I left it started to melt, mud and dirt all over the place. For me thats it, a break for a long moment, I hope! Not saying that there isnt nice persons (women) to meet, but sometimes we overlook what is just around the corner where we live. I say this because just two days before I left I met this beautiful women just living 300 yards away from me, I saw her a few times and i thinks, chances are close to none. Wrong i was, see her in a coffee shop and she is sitting there, i says go, waiting for a no go from her, she says lets go. in the night great fun (no intimacy yet besides her giving me champange with her mouth, no details) I says i have to travel to Ukraine, she looks at me a bit strange, i says for work. Sorry your trip ended this way Portman, good learning experience for someone thinking about traveling to FSU. You are not the first story I have heard ended this way and you will not be the last. Yes he met the perfect wife and now they both live in the states. The business is still going but he is on his 3rd administrator. The last 2 were totally corrupt and ripping him off left right and center. He is gonna give up soon although the new guy is honest they have no get up and go to go and sort out courses or drum up business ,what is it left over from the soviet time? that the goverment should put everthing in their lap?
