You will not see any other form having influence. Islam is more than just a Religion, people have to remember this. Yes, You have good and bad Muslims, just as you do with Catholics and Christians. And eventually, the very foundations of our lands will be changed to applease Islam, regardless of what the average Muslim thinks. If you are not willing to integrate with that Culture, then you do not belong there. Yes, if you are just visiting for whatever purpose you do not have too. But, if you wish to live in another culture, you have a duty to respect and integrate, not segregate. I'd like to also state. The Muslims are not to blame, its our governments. Every religion could be read with a certain bias to twist the original meaning. As those who practiced in the days of Jesus and Mohamed were living very different lives, it would be impossible today to say one should do this or that based on what the Quran or the Bible say. You'll find the teachings are the same as Islam. Just because a tiny percentage of priests choose to interfere with children to further their own sexual appetite doesn't mean all followers of that religion are perverts. 30 years ago we were persuaded to live in fear of Soviet invasion. Violence committed in the name of other religions is unconnected as to whether Islam is a violent religion. It’s like moral relativism. Which is the bedrock of most leftist ideology. It is as lame as comparing Catholicism to child molestation as you have just done. Apologists like to paint the picture that all religions are morally equivalent and draw away from the fact that Islam is a violent religion. The favorite of the Islamic apologist is, well what about The Crusades. Like Christendom just woke up one morning and decided to lay carnage on the poor Muslims. In western academia, media and the myth perpetrated by the Islamic world, the crusades where viewed as wars of aggression by the bloody minded Christians against the poor peace loving Muslims. There is nothing further from the truth of this ignorant history revision. Though the crusades were bloody, it was nothing more than a belated response of centuries of aggression of jihad than a unilateral unprovoked attack. Muslim rule in the holy land began in the later stages of the 7th century. It was in this context that Pope Urban issued a call in 1095 for Western Christians to come to the aid of their brothers in the middle east. This is labeled as the first crusade. In the previous years Damascus and Jerusalem had fallen to the Islamic tide. If you look at a map from about 675 to the First crusade you will see the aggressive nature of Islam. First, violent passages in the bible are irrelevant as to whether or not Islam is a violent religion. Second violent passages in the bible are not a standing order to declare war against the rest of the world as is Islam, nor does it place a pre-requisite of converting to a religion or dying if not. Remember St. Stephen was stoned to death for not denying his faith in Christ. Third the bible is a huge collection of documents written by many people over time and in different contexts. The Koran comes from only one source, Mohammed. It is through the life of Mohammed only that the Koran can be completely understood as the Koran itself states. Just a bit dictatorial since only one person wrote this. On the other hand, Christ wrote nothing in the bible. Also the strict literalism of the Koran leaves no interpretation.. Christ was the “Prince of Peace” and Mohammed was a warlord and Despot on comparison there no matter how hard you try Kirkland. There your first history lesson. I will gladly submit more it you wish. By the way there is no copy and paste here. Also there is nothing wrong with what Sooty copied, it is totally accurate and there are many, many more verses in the Koran to this fact. Most of the people here are happy, sure its not democratic, but is that the solution? is everyone in the US happy?
