Much of the root of this problem lies with the BBC which, whilst supposedly, stands for 'British Broadcasting Corporation' is actually 'English Broadcasting Crap'. When the BBC speak of 'us' they are referring to the English, particulary in a sporting/football competition, should England not qualify for a football competition but, let us say, Scotland do then, and only then, Scotland becomes 'us'. Do you recall a recent football competion where none of the 3 GB countries qualified, then the BBC adopted the Republic of Ireland as being 'us' and Ireland aren't even British! And, understandably, this puts the backs right up of the Welsh and Scottish and they believe, and there is some truth behind it, that the English believe that the islands are English, likewise the Americans call the islands 'England', hence they become defensive of their home countries and highlight, in retalliation, that they are Scottish or Welsh. But a nationality of Scottish, Welsh, indeed English is not officially acceptable and all the while that people talk of being of English nationality then this only served to continue to put the backs up of the Scottish and Welsh and won't serve to curtail a national pastime of the Welsh to piss in their resovoirs before the water is exported to England! And USA Americans do not speak English, their variety of English is 'American English' and can be very different to the language of English! I also had a similar conversation with my ex's friend when i was in America she was proud to boast about being welsh and absolutely lambasted the English and our way of life. It is ironic that being English is to be frowned upon but being Scotish or Welsh and being alowed to sing it from the roof tops is accepted. As for the BBC i have no comment on it but all i can say is i never apologise for being English or British for that point and if i have to then it is not my fault. History is not my fault and neither should it be my problem. Howether this is a point i will make if the English forced the rest of the British isles to join them maybe that is not a bad thing as the last war would suggest it was the Brits that stood alone against Hitler and until the americans and Russians finnished them off most of Europe would now either be speaking Russian or german under Nazi rule, that is something that being British brings to democracy and that is something that large parts of Europe and even our own country has forgoton. Yes i am British but i am damned if i will ever apologise for being English or British. There was no bank, there was no mortgage, there was 149 report on the girl on that scheme. The guy was so glad he did waste his broken heart and multiple hotel and airplane fares, he just sent me 10% of that. $1,300 earned in one advice. On the same guy, another day, 100,000 saved, 10K earned, but that is totally different another long story not involving dating or scams, but business and global warming. If you want to save your money - hire me as a tour guide, interpreter, driver, adviser, and so on.
