Is that all you got? I see english is your second language because you don't understand the definition of hypocrisy. Don't you have some immigration lawyer to promote here? I'm sure they will gladly relieve you of a couple grand for your K1. Try Holmes and Lolly I think they are out in La Jolla. Now I understand why California is in the shape that it's in.
I understand that you're a hypocrite. You tell of a group hug, but don't you don't think people should go here and vent. Then you go out to other threads and tell others that they're hypocrites.
Don't you believe him, dan_gling. I don't believe he has a wife at all. He's here to tell of his great stories and point out others mistakes. Remember, Martin did that.
Danny you're an ignorant tool. The Ukrainian women speak the same of the Russian women. Let's recall how many times have you been to Ukraine?
RB you're lost beyond belief. Remember you the goof that's been robbed and scammed. Now you ante up again for it. Remember Martin did that. Wow that hurt. It's guys like you that keep scamming alive and well and make it tougher for other guys. I have more documented evidence of my travels than youtube videos and have been married to a woman from Mariupol for 4 years and you try to blow sunshine up peoples butts that Army of Brides is legit and they have one of the worst reputations in Mariupol. Oh I forgot you've spent so much time in that city.
I bl00dy knew it, all that grief he gave me in years gone by and, well I would say he was just as bad but, I'd like to bet he wasn't engaged to be married to, basically, a wh0re!
Gee Marty coming from you I'll take that as a compliment. Getting bored and want to start more crap again do you? Don't you have some duty free cigarettes to smoke?
Within the EU there is no such thing as duty free! It was a good deal, when transitting thru an EU airport, to stock up with a suitcase full of duty paid cigarettes, but that's when it was circa EUR1.45 to GBP1.00, nowadays it's not even worth doing that with the exchange rate as it is.
But, not to disappoint you, I'm flying with my favoured airline "Swiss" in a couple of months from now, Swiss route via Zurich which is outside of EU thus duty free and, better still, on board Swiss I can buy cigarettes with my accumulated Lufthansa "Miles and More" points, no cash required.
Now never let it be said that I do not provide valuable travel information :)
No dung aling I leave that to you getting scammed. I'm sure your story is true. She stole it from your house. Just like I'm leaving Thailand and heading to Israel, then to Chelny,
Pilot then not, 500k a year from tropical fish, Businesses galore, then a carpenter, cabinet maker. In the states a cabinet maker is a craftsman, why not list it as a cabinet maker?
You sure do have the definition of liar down good dung_aling the mirror reminds you daily.
Well you're absolutely right. If $100 is an affordability issue, better stay local!
But, just to clarify, I wasn't speaking to the context of "affordability"... I was referring to "value"... :)
Read back further and you'll see me comparing what I get for $50 at Fiance.com vs $50 at Anastasia... I wasn't saying that $50 was "a lot of money to me"... it was basically in the same context.
That said, I've never been into throwing money around wastefully, even if it isn't "big bucks"... you just never know when you might need that extra few $$...
I haven't 'subscribed' to EM because the initial commitment is too great. I like a good trial period first. They want $100 for 3 months, limit up to 50 ladies. I don't know, maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but I didn't intend to spend 3 months at this anyway. I'll find some good prospects, and just go there. If it doesn't work out, well, I'm there! Surely life truly begins at the hop? :D
I paid for one month at Fiance. I can send/receive unlimited letters to unlimited ladies... personally I can't handle juggling much more than about a half dozen active correspondences at a time, so I'm not going unlimited on myself. I've received a couple of dozen inquiries, and sent right about ten. Those that have read them have all replied positively except one, who thanked me and bowed out gracefully.
I currently have 7 active correspondences going, a few pending answers. A few are pretty boring, so I'll drop them gently... 2 are totally rocking my world... have exchanged addresses, phone numbers, email, etc... calling one of them this weekend...
So after roughly two weeks, having sifted through mountains of profiles, tossing the maybes, I've ended up with two very solid prospects. That feels like solid results!
Best $50 I ever spent if things work out... I will certainly tell you if they don't!
tribalogical:
Some other people here may have a very different opinion (and experience), but a few years ago the site was great to do what you want to do. However, make sure you cancel at least five days before your month is over or their slow customer service will charge your credit card another month.
The first month is expensive (because of the setup fee), but the following are half price. I personally met great women using that site. Some of them still communicate with me as friends (I ended up meeting my fiancee for free on a social networking site).
Thanks for the tip, FSULover. I'll be confirming that it doesn't "auto-renew" and give them explicit instructions not to. Small I'll renew, but I probably won't need to. Have met enough very interesting ladies, and have personal emails and phone numbers to keep me busy enough. And, the next step is to just go there...
I had a nice phone call over the weekend (direct, no interpreter) with a lady who speaks reasonably good English. Couldn't get too deep on topics, but certainly enough to have a fun chat. She's a translator (German & Italian, go figure), and studying English. We hit it off well enough, and agreed we'd like to meet when I finally get over there. Encouraging!
Which brings me to something I think is important...
There are definitely tell-tales for scams, and they are plentiful. We see those discussed a lot here, and they help immensely!
But I also think we should put just as much energy in identifying the positive tell-tales, don't you? Things like, "When "xyz" happens, it's really likely you've caught someone genuinely interested"...
So I'll start off:
I think when a lady gives you all her personal contact info, is there for your call at the appointed hour, and during the conversation grills you on lots of "character/lifestyle" information (e.g. how do you feel about 'shared housework'?)... they're definitely considering you beyond the 'dating stage'. Wouldn't you think? I'd call those all good signs. Positive tell-tales... :)
Which brings me to a final point.
The lady I spoke to also bemoaned how guys would "just disappear" from the dating site after a long correspondence, without so much as a word.
Those are living, breathing, warm and often hopeful ladies on the other side of our correspondences. If you end up losing interest, it's a gentler cut to just let them know, not just to bail without a further word... she seemed genuinely hurt by it (and made me promise to tell her if I ever felt we weren't right for each other, not to just disappear).
So what do you think? Positive tell-tales? Anyone care to share some of their own?
I think you can not spot a scam profile. You can spot a scam by the way the girl behaves by the content of her letters and by the way she behaves when she is with you. Maybe there are certain things in a girls profile that may give it away but generaly i would say that the agency that the girl is in dictates whether she could be a scam.Only time spent in correspondance will tell you if a girl is a scam or could be genuine. The main thing is to trust your instinct and if she feels like the right on then go for it.
I told a lady I met someone else and wished to remain exclusive with just one. Her reply, "Go to hell!" Interestingly enough the agency where I met her contacted me later and said there were a couple more ladies very interested in me and sent their information. I replied and told them (agency) the same thing.
In early March I got fed up with a site that immediately started sending me letters and pictures of some of the most beautiful young ladies I have ever seen. When I told them I was no longer interested and wished to cancel my subscription, I actually got a refund!!!!! No shit unbelieveable.
Take a look at profile ID 100841. While I agree there's no slam-dunk "this is a scam" sign, I'd say the amount of photoshopping in this is a pretty good indicator.
I wouldn't mind, but it's done so badly. I do like a good giggle :)
Personally, I'm always suspicious of poses like this one with the snake. I find it hard to believe that a lady who's photos include them in the shower, bare arse shots or 'lip licking' is likely after settling down to 4.2 kids and a mortgage.
