A friend of mine visited Moldova last Ocotber when there was some kind of wine celebration
he told it was quite interesting and he could hardly find the way home after the wine-testing ))
i've found a funny video about Moldovan people :)) they seem to be fun-loving !
Top.....I did focus on an area, it was Odessa(Nikolaev) and Chisinau. There are buses to connect Ods and Chi for ~$15. Only problem is the border patrol in moldova( need to go through border in palanka).
Girls are much the same only more brunettes....you find beauties where ever you go. I do like the ability to get around in Chisinau and since most signs are in romanian letters, it is easier to read. Downtown is easy to get around and everything is practically walking distance, though the buses can get you there quickly for 10 cents usd. Lots of restaurants/nightclubs and strip bars to entertain you. Moldova is one of the poorer FSU countries though you would not know it by the way girls dress along with use of cellphones. I do consider it a party town.
Yes, Steven your friend was in Chisinau in mid October for 2 festivals celebrated every year: Day of City and Wine Festival.
Afew weeks ago I had written on another topic about how rude it was to sit at a dinner table with an interpreter and to treat them with complete indifference. I remembered this topic as I was with my lady friend in Kharkov in February. It was with the agency discussed here that I had arranged a trip to Chisinau Moldova thye year before. I was on a first date with a woman and the translater was present as well. I had to insist that she have dinner as well. While her direction from the agency was that she just be present to interpret at a rate of $7 per hour, for me it would have been awkward and uncomfortable for her not to be a part of the dinner. I did not respond in February to this post because of my being in Kharkov. My experience with this agency was in fact a good one. I traveled to meet a woman that was infact quite difficult and it clearly was going nowhere. This agency in operated as a family business and very accomadating. I was picked up at the airport quite late and taken to the agency to meet that lady. The 20 minute drive from the airport was $25 by private car. The return trip was by cab in the morning for much less with a lady I met there. I used the agency services and offfice computer everyday during the week. They acquired the nicest apartment I have ever had in the FSU for $55 per night. Air conditioning, 2 well furnished bedrooms, large dinning room, land line, television, stereo and secure building. Very modern. I think that that Shooter was making a sincere recommendation on this site and was very lucky to have found his end without many dead ends and was trying to share in his good fortune. For those that have dealt with family businesses in any field, people tend to pass their experience along, expecting nothing in return. Shooter will likely not be heard from again. We all should be so lucky. And for Starsvet, they are a dignified family and business
