I think some of the ladies DO actually need the agency as support as they do not speak (or think they speak) ENglish very well.
To me and my experience, this is BS. I corresponded with ladies who did not have a good command of English, and except for talking out loud, if they have access to a computer and the Internet, then they have access to many online free translation programs. Also you do too (Google Translate has become pretty good.) and you can also send your correspondence in Russian. What I actually did was send my message in both languages, many wanted this since they could read the message in Russian and also read it in English to practice some.
Also, think about how a serious relationship can ever flourish if you both don't speak a common language. Most there have taken English classes so there is no reason to spend time with those that are completely illiterate.
Just be careful when using an online translator. I sent my lady a message using one of these and it was all screwed up. Keep it simple so as not to confuse the program. But there are good ones. This was over a year ago so I don't remember which one it was.
Also, I would bet my new Michelins that she has a cell phone. But I wouldn't bet the air (actually nitrogen) in them that she has a computer at home with easy access to the internet.
With those online translators convert EN to RU then convert back RU to EN just to establish how it has translated then tweek with your wording until satisfied with the result.
something to think about - many guys who go this route don't have a clue. not their fault. there are just so many variables someone must deal with and also things to find out. when I went into this I was skeptical to say the least. yet I found it all fascinating at the same time. and as I progressed I started to learn of all the difficulties. I stumbled upon the forum by accident. I was already months into my search without the benefit of advice or clues on 'scammers' etc. yet being of sound mind I was able to discern the 'to-good-to-be-true' from what seemed like real. let's not forget that many who look to FSU are not Robert Redford types or rocket scientists. so let's cut these guys a break in the beginning. then after they complain about being taken... store is open. also, I am sure there are those who cry foul when they go to meet their future love and she is just completely not interested. it happens - I know. but I didn't go crying scammer. as I said, I was skeptical from the start. fortunately I also had what I thought was a sure thing. and that was because I portrayed myself exactly as I am. she did the same. she knew almost everything about me and I knew everything about her. it was not until after we spent time together and more than one visit was I absolutely positive this lady never lied to me or made up any bullshit. she is upstairs sipping a glass of wine waiting for me to finish my sauce for our london broil.
How about this one, Ralph. It happened to me. There is a chance that someone will take my story, add their spin to it and call me a crybaby and someone who fell for a scam and cried about it. I was over it a long time ago. I know I can't get it back. I was angry at first when I figured it out, but after I thought about it, the trip was worth it.
I was still in California. The lady from Zaporozhye told me the apartment will cost $100 per day. When I got there, she collected the money and said her mother, son and dog will stay at the apartment I rented. She and I will stay together at her apartment. Would you give the money?
Her mother did stay somewhere, but I doubt if she was in a rented an apartment. I think she stayed with a friend who came with her when she visited. Her son did stay with us but he went to school.
does anyone know of the site ... www.dream marriage.com ...russian woman online dating experts, it sounds like a scam site but I have met some legit girls on there ,one Im thinking of going to see this fall, the girls usually dont get back to you for a day or so, usually when its a scam they e-mail back within minutes or hours, they seem really sincere...
There's no one sign for real/scam - it's more of a judgement call based on a number of factors - just remember to take note of the green flags/red flags. A day or so before responses could be a good sign - or could be a lazy or very busy scammer.
I'm sure ppl will give you opinions - perhaps differing - on DM. Just remember, though, the scam agencies have some genuine girls, and the famously 'good' agencies have scammers. There's no absolutes in this. For instance, plenty of girls on DM are also on fiance.com. Plenty of girls on Anastasia (the name synonymous with scam) are also on Elenasmodels (synonymous with honesty). Judge each girl, and each situation on its individual merits, and just follow the usual rules: no money sent, phone call, skype call, get an email address, get a mobile number.
