Before I had flown to Ukraine to meet Iryna (now my wife) I sent her 11 red roses for St. Valentines Day. It was 1 month and 1 day before my Kiev flight, As I knew no one in Crimea (or Ukraine, for that matter) I decided on the internet flower thing. THEY WENT DOWN AMAZINGLY WELL!!! That was 2010. ...and from March 15th to 29th (during our first two weeks together) I was always surprising her with a single red rose here, a single white rose there...It made a massive impression on her. Incidentally, the internet Roses (although being absolutely excellent quality) cost about 200% more than the ones I bought from sellers on Simferopol streets. February 18th 2011. After being married we were parted for 3 months and we decided it was an 'essential expense' for me to fly over so we could spend some much needed time together. After arriving in Simferopol on Feb 19th I got her a single rose.... She was very happy and grateful but she insisted that the single rose was the first and last I bought her on that trip, "We have house and garden now. Save money, next time we buy roses we buy them to plant in our garden....". Spending thousands of dollars on expensive flights/holidays to entice women, from half a world away to meet you, strikes me as desperate. All the flowers on earth would not make a woman pretend to be interested in someone she did not really like but to throw money around on luxury trips to exotic destinations...Well many, many women would tolerate a man who gave them such opportunities (even if, in their hearts, they considered the free spending foreign man to be an ignorant, obnoxious, barely educated embarrassment). Remember that most FSU women feel very lucky if they can afford a week in a tent near the mountains or sea. On the social networking site MAMBA.RU there are thousands od beautiful FSU women offering their company to men (or even groups of men) who are willing to pay for their holiday. It's a little too close to prostitution for my taste. I'll stick with the good old fashioned flowers. As for flowers not getting me sex, they don't. But that's a good thing. Unlike givers of more ostentatious gifts, I can be sure that I get me the sex.... A woman's not going to spoil the free tickey to paradice island by admitting she things the guy with all the holiday spending money is an idiot. The 11 red roses cost about £50 ($75). About 3 or 4 times the local cost. And I married the lady nine months later. Today she had her passport returned with her Leave To Remain (spouse) UK visa. In 9 days she fly's back to me and our modest little terrace house. And, Danny, attempting to U turn on the amounts you spend to buy these women is a little late! You wrote about tickets costing only '700 dollars' in your last post but in an earlier post (same thread!) you boast about spending '3000 to fly to moscow. 1600 dollars for perminint visa (I think you meant 'permanent') not to mention all the money......£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£ Face it, Danny, your money is the number one advantage you have over better educated, more intelligent men in the competition to get women. If you had the guts you would openly admit to this forum what we have all understood by reading between the lines of your posts. You use money to attract the women who you know would not come near you under any other circumstances. Enjoy it while it lasts... Any non-manual job requires a little reading and writing and you, Danny, write like a child. If you had been born into a family with money your education would have been a priority for them. Deductive logic indicates that you are a second generation illiterate. As for the idea of learning russian.... I cannot even laugh at the idea of sharing a slavonic language course classroom with someone as unqualified to even try it as yourself. All the above reasons make me think you're enjoying an experience of having wealth that is unusual for you, your family and your friends. I also believe that the money will run out and you will be just another aging Australian drunkard telling exaggerated stories of your 'glory days' with Russian beauty's to people who are disbelieving, bored or, most probably, both. It could not compete with Kiev, Odessa, Minsk, Krakow or even Simferopol. Maybe it's because Moscow has become a 'World City'? A melting pot of varieties like London, New York or Hobart. I have heard that Saint Petersburg is where the highest concentration of attractive young women are congregated. Several times I have heard/read about the thousands of world class, fashionably dressed, young beauties that fill the cafe's and clubs to bursting. I had become expecting to be preparing court papers etc. this evening but, at the eleventh hour, the, would be, defendant(s) have asked for a meeting at my house, the house that some lying idiot(s) state I do not own, on Monday morning to discuss the situation in hope to avoid being taken to court. It is amusing though, a supposed international jet setter, travels business class, sails yachts across oceans, has aircraft that he flies within the confines of his property etc. etc etc, who goes to Moscow (backpacking) on a meagre budget and staying in one of the cheaper hotels in town. I suffered staying in an Ibis Hotel once and for one night, in Vasteras, Sweden when all better hotels in the city were full for that one night before I relocated to the best hotel in the city for the remainder of the week I was on business there, as they say "never again". This council, well over the years the pavement/sidewalk outside of my property has subsided (due to the builders not setting the drains in correctly), my driveway also subsided however I relaid the driveway circa 14 years ago. Since then the council have come along and, rather than relay their pavement/sidewalk, have trespassed upon my property to illegally build a cement/concrete ramp construction up to their subsided pavement/sidewalk stones. I do have to laugh at their mentality whereas they believe they have a right to trespass and build upon my property, not even the Queen has the right to trespass and build upon my property, so this council can remove it and put right their defacing of my property or I'll put it right and sue them for my out of pocket expenses for putting it right! Meanwhile there's a water utility provider threatening to take me to court for all the water I have been, and continue to, use/using at a residential address in England and they are writing to me at my present address, that isn't even in England, demanding these monies for this 'English' water that I am supposedly using day by day.
