Ben,
He needs to have an income, a job, a place for them to live, what are the chances of her having a house and job in the UK, she could hardly have a UK job if she doesn't even have a UK visa yet.
Yes she applies but he is named on the application, it is he that will be supporting the visa application, she cannot apply for a 'fiancee' visa unless she identifies the other half, that's what I meant by 'they'.
i guess i better go for martins idea. i log on to this forum coz i dont want to made mistake and be denied. another question. how am i going to proove that he meets the requirements? and what if we dont tell them we are already married? can we get a visitors visa then? we dont really plan to live in uk. we both want best here. we are going to uk just to meet his parents personally. maybe stay there for a year. i read that i can have one year visitors visa.
The process of brining an intended to Britain is one that requires the British citizen to provide many documents regarding status and income etc, and also agrees that your fsu love will not be entitled to british benefits.
An interview at the British embassy may be required by the fsu person wishing to visit Britain, and proof of past meetings and correspondance is also required, Britain has made the requirements for Russians wishing to visit Britain much harder.
Dont ever lie. If you are caught lying you will probably not get a second chance. Best bet is for your husband to contact the local consulate and ask their advice directly. Thats what they are there helping their own citizens.
YOUmean we better get a settlement visa.. then we can also bring our child with us? how or what can i do to proove them that my hubby is capable to support us?
hahaha!!!thanks once again. martin. my hubby is in uk at the moment.he just went back last october coz he came here for my giving birth.well he is busy and i am not so i decide to do it my self. but before he went back to uk we already had a research but i dont think it is enough thats why i am asking you guys.well i guess i would just tell him to do your advice gem.
Mrs Zoo,
OK, your hubby needs to source the email address of your local UK consulate and make email contact with them for advice.
For a visa application he will need to provide such things as proof that he has a place to live, bank statements, contract of employment etc.
I don't know where you live but previously I had a read of the UK consulate's Kiev website and it provided lots of useful information, if you are in Russia then there are consulates in Moscow, SPb and Ekaterinburg, in rest of FSU then it will be capital cities only.
well thanks alot. he is botherd about this ofcourse but this is the only way i could help him. i was the one being lazy lols. anyway thank you so much.
