The truth is that marriage (especially a international one) is a marathon and not a sprint. It is not about who finds a prized posession first. It is about who finds a woman who devotes herself to her man for years to come, despite the difficulties (because an international marriage is full of difficulties). So, even though I think that I married "the one," we have not been together enough time to consider ourselves "successful." If I am still happy with this woman in 20 years, then I will consider myself very successful. For now, I feel very happy with the girl I married. And so far I feel that I married the right one. I just hope that I don't have to start this search again, especially after reading how difficult it can be for many ... even Giss, who thinks that he has the right recipe for absolute success. The victims are blindsided and never see it coming, until it is too late. That is why I prefer to wait enough time before I claim "victory."
