New plans, "my girl" says that the hotels are to full of prostitutes so she wants me to rent an apartement. Instead of staying in a hotel. Any advice on that? St Petersburg is where I'm going b.t.w

Nisse, whatever her reasoning - Do! You won't look back on that decision. Better privacy, and let her make the arragements, however state she should not skimp on cost i.e. not try to take the cheapest (they cost less than hotel usually). This way you also will see if she has arranged a dual-room appt. (you should really), and produce cash once arrived only. I'd advise to pay in terms rather than one lump sum in advance - less risk, and more flexible. Let her do the negotiations unless you're fluent with Russian, and trust her choice especially of the area she wants you to be in. That is, if you trust her, but I take it you do, and then this is one way of paying her a compliment as well. Enjoy, and do some homework in advance - SPB is gorgeous, promise, hope she will be as well ;-))

Oh Nisse, another thing. You may land at Pulkovo, and forget about buying flowers there. Take them from wherever you depart (it's allowed normally), she will be behind the glass wall straight after the checkpoints. Once you're there changing money is the second thing you do, look to the sides. Regarding Tim's haggling, let her negotiate the taxi fee without you being in sight even, and better make such a habit, but at least be mute always until the fee is set.

Nisse, Is the agency doing anything for you or are you and your girl doing all the arrangements by yourself? I only ask because our girls are from the same agency (hopefully not the same girl). I'm landing at Pulkovo, but I'm having the agency meet me at the airport. They will have the flowers for me and they will bring me to where I am staying then they will bring me to meet the first one. I have three girls lined up to meet there.

The agency will do the arrangements, Blind date, but I don't yet know any details, "Miss X";-) will any day now ask the agency to sort everything out, don't know what that includes yet. crashnsplash, I'm only meeting the one girl so if she is one of Your three girls You still end up with two:-)

So true =) I decided im not travelling 4000 miles for one girl. Ive done the online dating game before and I know that there are good surprises then there are the nightmares. Good luck Nisse, I hope it works out for you.

Nisse, you're going for a BLIND DATE?? Don't know any details? Jeeez man, you're desperate, wealthy or both, maybe nutters? You can't be serious - what do you expect out of that? Buying Lottery tickets is a better chance to strike it rich, surely you know? In contradiction to what I've said, let the agency arrange the lot, and here you will no doubt pay a premium. You can't trust her if you've got no details, mark my words. On this, I hope that agency's a reputable one?
