Most governments have websites with tourist links. If you want more detailed analysis(if you don't mind from a USA perspective), check out www.cia.gov They have a entensive listing of bios and facts for practically every country on the planet. Don't misunderstand me, however two girls that i am in contact with have actually offered to pay to come and meet me, maybe it's lucky or maybe it's part of a bigger scam that i haven't encountered yet, but i do wonder how 'badly' off some of them really are, yes, sure, some tell me that they are poor, some have in the past via other sites asked me for money, but others send me a magnitude of texts on my mobile, are these for free? I doubt it so if they are so poor, then how do they pay? Some of the girls also pay their agencies for each letter, despite fiancee.com allowing a free return to each letter. On the other hand please do not think that i do not sympathise with them, i have travelled extensively world over, and have seen great poverty, there are many places that are much worse of than the FSU, but they all get by. Most of the ones that i have had long and constructive communications with, never mention anything about money, or that they are hard up, i can appreciate this tack, despite the fact that they might be, because to me it shows dignity, just one of the qualities that i am looking for. It isn't a crime to be poor, and where necessary i try to bear this in mind and be pre-emptly sympathetic. Also try www.state.gov----this would be the equiv. of the UK Foreign Secretary's website(if there is one). They have links to all the USA Embassies and Consulates; perhaps with some digging, they will find the info they want. As for me, I am 100% USA, but barely, as an International Bridge with New Brunswick, Canada is 100m away!
