I think it is a perfect example of why it is so difficult to find someone in Ukraine. Men,,, “window shopping” and what I refer to as “test driving”, and women,,, strolling for husbands! They tell reporters, that they are looking for husbands, but after the meal and drinks, the girls disappear?!! Maybe these girls should be renamed as “Menu advisers” ???? Several months ago, someone on the forum said it perfectly. He described the typical situation of the first dates between foreign men and FSU women. Both sitting at a table in a restaurant, thinking about the next move and wondering what the other is thinking. The guy is thinking,,,,, is she going to show some affection,,, or is she just here for the meal? And the girl is thinking; if I invite him to come home with me,, he will just leave me the next day,,,,,, but if I don’t, he will think I’m only here for the free dinner??! While I don’t know anything that could change the way FSU women think and act, we the foreign men could do a lot to improve our image. Stop playing the dating game. Many of us see it as a challenge to con a woman into bed! Wine and dine her, tell her lies, and leave the next morning. I don’t know if guys like that get a big thrill from playing the game,,, or if they are too cheap to pay for escorts?? Escorts are cheap in Ukraine,,, even in Kiev! When I was in my 20’s I dated 4 to 7 days a week. I didn’t know back then, that dating was supposed to be so difficult! There were two types of dates, one was for finding a mate, and the other was for a good time. There wasn’t any discussion about plans for the night,, you just knew what type of date it would be. Most good time dates carried into the next night, and after that,,, when ever we met again. I had years between some of these dates. No phone calls,,, but one letter invitation for a party or holiday. I had many 48 hour days,,, get up, work, shower, go on a date,, get back as the sun is coming up, put on work clothes,,,, get done, shower, go back to the date, get home late a get a few hours of sleep,,,, and go to work. Now does everyone understand why I get so pissed over these FSU girls???? OR, what is represented on the agency sites is fantasy. 2) I can count on the fingers of one hand, out of 50 pages viewed, the number of girls who listed themselves as seeking a relationship. Almost universally their purpose is listed as "friendship". My point is, if they are not listing themselves as seeking a romantic relationship, they certainly aren't looking for someone to come there, zip them up in a suitcase, and take them 10,000 km from everything they know.... 3) The maximum age difference any seem comfortable with is about 5 years. 19 y/o, lol nooooooo, no way; been there, done that, worn the T shirt (and the T shirt says, 'the sex is great but everything else is so irritating it just isn't worth it')... way to immature. I am 46, the age bracket I have been looking in is 30 - 40; given what I saw from the girls profiles on mamba, the youngest I should be looking for is maybe 37. The agency dating sites are full of 25 y/o saying they are looking for 30 - 50... however, that does not seem to fit with the mindset of the girls on mamba. I've been lurking and reading you guys bicker for a while but you put some really good info up here once in a while. My disclaimer: Everything will be biased no matter how hard we try because we always put a little bit of "us" into for better or worse. I've never been to Russia or any FSU countries. Been to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica (lots of times), Tahiti (and 7 islands- Bora Bora, Moorea, etc) but never Ukraine or Russia. Marriage is done. Divorce was financially devastating but the thing died a long time ago and there wasn't any reason to keep it going. I have two nice kids from it. I've used Natasha (natashaclub.com) for a couple years. Funny site. Lots of fake girls. They make it almost too easy to find the many fakes because they have a "viewed you" area as most sites do. When you get hundreds of letters, smiles, etc. it is fishy enough but then after some time (shorter or longer for some) you begin to notice that something like 1 out of 100 of those contacts has never viewed your profile then it starts to seem a little strange. Letters cost a lot for some and little for others and their (the operators or owners) rationalization for this seems quite stupid. I would, however, overlook all that if most of those drop dead gorgeous models (as most are) were real. Then it might be worth it. I think that I've tested them long enough and don't think it "real enough" for me. Now I'm onto 3 free ones (used them for a while mixed results) that I have no affiliation with and I can give you a blow by blow. Can I post them here or is that taboo?
