Jet,, because I think it’s wrong. I know for a fact, that Life phones from Ukraine will not work here, but I turned it on anyway just to be sure. It didn’t work,,, no signal! I also tried it at different airports in different cities,, no signal! I am almost positive that any phone from Ukraine,, any company,,, with it’s original sim card won’t work. And without that sim card, her calls or texts won’t be received. Why would anyone need their Ukr phone anyway? I get a certain number of texts free with my monthly package,,, and if I go over it’s just 0.25USD per text. I also found a way of texting with the computer while the phone is attached, and able to translate into Russian and download it into the phone! It came out the other end as gibberish,,, but a solution to that might have been found. Durak knows what I mean.

In my experience, Kyivstar (the only Ukrainian mobile carrier I have used) has amazingly broad roaming, that only gets better year by year. Beeline also seems to have great roaming. I don't remember whether I have tried the Kyivstar card in the US, but it seems to work in every European country I've tried.

Looney: I would reiterate that you are an idiot but that would just be redundant. I have used my Ukrainian MTC (original SIM - I actually have two numbers) phone to get FREE messages from three different girls for 5 years. And why would I pay 25 cents to send one back when they are FREE online? Your stupidity knows no bounds.

Oh jetmba,,,,, you are so right!!!! I can’t believe how much I have wasted on text messages,,,,,,, 100 or perhaps even 200 ,,,,,,,, pennies!!!! I get some free texts each month,,,, I only went over my limit once or twice. But I was happy to pay a little extra,,,,, perhaps I had a chance for some cheap sex with someone from US C??? Jet,, you are the only one to say that phones from Ukraine work in the US. There have been many threads about cell phones,,, two are active right now, and no one has mentioned it,,,, not even durak or rick!! Jet, when I first saw your post, I was sure it was disinformation,,, or that you were having a senior moment. Danny always flooded the forum with disinformation too.

Looney is so dumb I am amazed he doesn't just forget to breathe and suffocate at any given moment. Being able to send FREE text messages is not meant to benefit HIM. Its meant to benefit HER - as she can send a message to her man (certainly not Looney) at anytime and from anywhere even if she doesn't have a data plan on a smart phone. But "Looney's girls" always have a ready source of cash selling the earrings he pays her for sex... er I mean GIVES her as a GIFT (because that's different!).

WHERE does it say that the DUMBEST member of this forum (YOU of course) has to ACCEPT something with confirmation from somehwere else, before it can be diseminated to others as inportant information? I HAPPEN to have MTC - both my current girl and my exfiance had MTC - It JUST HAPPENED Looney. I didn't go looking or it. It just HAPPENED. Wierd coincidence, huh? And it works. And whether an idiot like YOU believes me or not I DON'T CARE! There are NORMAL men on this forum (not you of course) who might be able to USE this information to communicate with there girls in a way that is convenient to THE GIRL. And by the way - my Moldovan who has a completely different phone system - was able to send me FREE text messages to my MTC phone too. And again Looney - I don't care that the dumbest poster here (you) doesn't believe me.

concerning Life:) If you have a true unlocked phone, such as an iphone, that is not tied to a national US carrier then your Life:) SIM card WILL work in roaming in US. I repeat, it WILL WORK in US provided you have the appropriate tariff plan and enough funds in your account. I was curious because of this argument, so I went to MyLife:) online and added 200 to my account and made sure I had a global plan. I inserted my SIM into an unlocked Galaxy 3 dual mode(gsm/sdma)quad band phone and was able to text my girl in Kharkiv without issue and get reply. I hope this ends the argument.

Rick4girl: THANK YOU. I've never tried Life - but my MTC has worked just fine for five years and I have recieved messages from 3 different girls. Whats more I have passed this information on (that girls can send you SMS messages free from phones, and as I mentioned my Moldovan girl was able to send to my Ukrainian phone in the USA) and MOST GUYS appreciate the information. THAT why I present it. Not to be attacked by a lunatic,.

Rick,, thanks for checking that out! You tried Life and not MTC or Kyiv Star,,, but I’m content enough that jet’s phone is working. What jet never mentioned,, is that you needed to use a special phone and an “appropriate tariff plan”! It doesn’t sound like a “cheap way” to communicate . I’ve texted both MTC and Kyiv Star from my Life phone while in Ukraine,,, and I had to pay to do both. The women also had to pay to text me, while in Ukraine. So how can it be free or cheap for them to text us from Ukraine? “THANK YOU. Looney: Do you never stop proving you are an idiot? I have a plain old ordinary SIM card - and I buy 100 grievna scratch cards to add more money. Have to have an "appropriate tariff plan"? Are you cracked? And a special phone - its JUST AN UNLOCKED PHONE -I buy them cheap on ebay ALL THE TIME! Its NOT special - it just has no contract. Its CHEAP to send an SMS in Ukraine and the same price to send one in the US. Looney - you are the biggest failure here, so why are you giving advice on ANYTHING?
