Any girl old enough to be my daughter,...I just could not, would not. While there is obviously no moral issues against it, it's just a mental block I could not work my way around which other guys obviously can. No shes not my daughter, but there is another guy out there my age who is there daughter,......and if it were my daughter I'd put my boot to her ass. Guys have always been attracted to younger women for various reasons. Dating someone who is at least 18 years old is legal here. Dating someone who is at least 16 years old is legal in Ukraine,,,, but I think our American laws apply. So,, it’s still 18 for us,,, but,,, just because it’s legal, doesn’t make it right! Some guys are dating girls young enough to be their daughters,,,, or even grand daughters! How would that look to have a romantic dinner with your grand daughter?? Families would marry off there 13 year old daughters to grown men hundreds of years ago. Was it right then? Of course not, was it the norm, yes it was. I guess the right word for extreme age difference relationships in this day and age would be called Taboo. While the morality of it is up to the individual, it is socially frowned upon in most corners of the world. It seems to me that most people don't distinguish between social norms, and morality -- they stir them together to make an incoherent mess. I regret to say that in the country of my birth, marriage between "white" and "black" people was at that time prohibited (through a great part of its territory) by law. Interracial marriage was, certainly, quite unusual then, and far from the social norm of the time. But I'm sure that a lot of people were passionately convinced that such marriages were "morally wrong." I knew a couple who married in the early 1950s with the bride several years older than the husband (rather less than 10 years difference, as I recall) -- and a divorcee to boot. I was told that at the time, their marriage was considered by many to be scandalous and repulsive. I expect that today, such a match would be noted as a bit unusual, but hardly improper. So, I'm deeply skeptical of "codes of right and wrong" when they are based on gut feelings, ancient texts, etc. An awful lot of "morality" is simply camouflaged prejudice, envy, etc. I'm interested in moral arguments that apply reason to considerations of human rights, agency, and dignity, and the overall well-being of society.
