An AR-15, or the so-called "Assault Weapon", was not used in the school shooting. The shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports, right after the shooting, that police found the AR-15 in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. The rifle was not used. The shooter went into the school with 4 handguns, NOT an Assault Rifle as the media has charged. I remember in the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the rifle in the car. But the Administration-controlled MSM had a pre-planned attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie, which included people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun. Could it be that the Democrat Liberals and THEIR MEDIA were pushing for the new law, hoping they could do it, before the Coroner released the info? Absolutely. I don't suppose that most of them are thought of as part of the "industrialized world." Murder and armed robbery rates are dramatically higher in the USA, than in UK or Australia. So what you are saying, I guess, is our exceptionally violent country would become even more violent if we had weapons laws similar to those of the UK or Australia. In the U.K. for instance a criminal will use a knife or a bat to hold up a gas station clerk instead of a .45 . Also not the poverty, 90% crime happens in the poorest part of the cities, or by dirt poor American citizens, you rarely hear about middle class or rich citizens robbing the corner 7-11. While being a modern country we are top heavy with the rich and the middle class is swindling down further and further into the poor class, with poverty comes lack of education, with lack of education comes crime, that it.
