If she doesn’t like your looks when you meet,,, then you have been deceived and your time has been wasted. As for personality,,,, some of that comes out in letters,, but not all. I warn them about my having a silly type of personality,,, most have liked my humor. One of the girl’s that I had the most extensive correspondence with, called me conservative? This was after seeing and talking about advertisements while in Ukraine the year before. They do show nude posters above the streets in some cities? When I finally met her,,, both her and the interpreter were dressed very conservatively,,, I think they both added buttons to their blouses,,, as they were buttoned up to their chin! I write to the girls much longer than most guys,,,, hoping to eliminate any surprises. Even if they wouldn’t like me for whatever reason,,,, that is no excuse for being rude and/or impolite! It was a damn long flight!! Turn this around for a moment,,, what if the girls came here to see us,,,, would you turn around and walk the other way if you didn’t like her?? I am currently communicating with a nice girl who has given a couple of signals that the scammer police would say: "stay well away from her". I have put her (first) name, email address and town in Google and all the scammer sites I know about and the good news is I am getting no results at all. They say it in their profiles. I am in touch with some ladies who have already invited me to come and meet them but it is somewhat risky in case they do not like me on the spot. I am a believer of going to see one lady only, when you have already developed some kind of relationship with her, at a distance, and it is just a question of 'passing' the meeting test. But with girls who do not want to correspond, it is fair to go and see 3 or 4 in one trip so that you do not book a 2 week trip only to find yourself with nothing to do for 13 days if the first meeting does not work. Most of the girls I am talking to have had the 'new' tag removed from their profiles so there has been time for people to report them. The site that I use gets a lot of scammers but they are quick to remove them. Sometimes I get an email saying a new lady is interested in my and, by the time I go to see her profile, she has already been removed form the site! Not surprisingly, the ones that do not want to correspond do not get their profiles removed from the sites. Scammers are not 'hostile' like these ladies so I tend to believe they are genuine. They could be professional daters but, as they have been in the site for a few months, there would have been time for an innocent victim to come back and report them. The only ptoblem with these ladies is that they know they are very eligible so they can make men go to see them. I am corresponding with some eligible ladies who can afford to send a message once every 2 or 3 weeks only. They are not in a hurry and they know people like me will be willing to wait for their messages. My only guess about you always saying that all FSU women are time wasters is that you have been looking in the wrong places. It is simply not possible that even the majority of them are. By the same girls you mean agency girls?? Yeah,, different cities, different websites, same results. For the 1st trip I had wrote to 5 women in 4 cities, and I told them I’d be meeting others about 2 weeks before. I did that because they would know a guy wouldn’t travel that far for only 3 or 4 days. The 2nd trip I only had wrote to one girl,, but for a long time, and one for a couple of months. The 1st one on that trip had a boyfriend, and the interpreter is on a scammer watch list. The 2nd girl wanted to meet me so bad,, that she forgot to show up and was chatting online for Aweb instead. For the 3rd I found someone on this site that had almost no online footprint and was only on one site. Weeks before my trip she insisted that I stay in an agency apartment,, so I looked for a few others to meet. They too insisted that I stay in one of their apartments. I almost didn’t go. 4th trip I went to meet the same girl as the 3rd, and I was quite convinced that it would not work out,,, she didn’t show up. Before my trip she had made all kinds of promises,, just to get me to her city. I don’t know what it would take for me to return,,,, I haven’t found it during the last two years. I look on Vk a little, but can’t find anyone that I like, or is suitable. There wasn’t much to go there for. The very 1st is working as a prostitute in Moscow now. She told a dozen lies to me. The 2nd was in the Carpathian Mt’s with her lover when I arrived in Odessa. The agency lady told me she was sick for 7 days,,, but so was I so it didn’t matter much. Then I had the Date from Hell in Nikolayev , and the 4th girl was sick, so I raced back to Odessa to finally meet the 2nd girl for an hour or so. 5th girl was supposed to be in Lugansk,,, but then lived 80km away! Given the option of traveling to her hometown, or paying for the taxi,, I paid the taxi. 150 1st trip,,, then 200 for the next 3, oh,,, in USD! That’s the Lugansk taxi scam! She might have gotten out of the taxi over the first hill?? I’ll never know,,, and really don’t give a flying fuxk about earring girl anymore. She’s the one I cared for the most,,,, I now despise her the most!! She came back again this last Sept,,, and actually wrote 6 letters to me,,,, then stopped,,, again! 6th girl is the one with the boyfriend, and didn’t even write her own letters, the interp on the scammer watch site did. She wrote wonderful letters that I actually miss,,, but it was all a lie,,, and that’s too bad, because she at least knew what a relationship should be like,,,, but it was just income for her. The next one was a no show. The girl in Sumy was sweet,,, but not honest. It was just free meals for her,,,, but the worst thing about her is,,,, she hid a HUGE secret,,,, a real deal breaker. The reasons they ask you to stay in an apartment are: - They live with their parents and they are not going to bring a man just like that and/or - They live in a tiny place with no space for a guest. - They fear for their safety bringing a foreign man into their place, even with 6 months of correspondence. - They have dignity and are not going to allow the man to think he can jump in bed with them on arrival. - They do not want to be humiliated by hotel staff treating them as a prostitute when they come and visit you, especially if they have made the decision to stay overnight after dating you a few times. - In a apartment they can come and cook for you and impress you plus live for a bit as if you were a couple at home to see what it is like. A girl I was talking to recently had her foreign man come and stay in an apartment with her even though she lives on her own in a small place. On the second day he was there he asked her to marry him. She said yes. On the third day she took him to the town where her parents live to introduce him to them. I missed a chance there. I am exchanging correspondence with a nice lady who already wants me to go and visit her to 'grab' me once and for all. I have no doubt she is genuine. She has volunteered to let me see her in Skype, she gave me her full name, email address and phone number. I did not ask for any of this. She lives with her parents and son in a small place and she is not inviting me to stay with them. I am not offended or suspicious. She says she can get me a flat for $50 a day which means that she is not even trying to get me to take her to live in a luxury penthouse for 3 weeks. I never asked to stay with a girl yet! If she had asked me to stay with her on a 1st trip to meet her,,,, I would have had a problem with it. My ideal girl wouldn’t do that. Second trip would be okay. I wanted to stay at hotels,,, they didn’t need to come to my room. Several times I brought my pc to the lobby or a café with wi fi, to show them more pictures of home, our businesses website, etc! I do my best to be a gentlemen. And besides,,, on most dates I had a interp joining us,,,,, so there was a chaperone! She should feel perfectly safe and not like a prostitute. Some said: Don’t treat me like a prostitute! I once went to visit a girl who was obviously desperate for some. She started insinuating she wanted it from day one. I wanted to be a gentleman and pretended I did not notice. By the third day she got pissed off with me and told me I did not want her so we did that night.... On another occasion it was me who was a bit desperate, I insinuated it to a lady and she got pissed off too! So it is really difficult to know what their reaction is going to be one way or another. I am not naive and do not expect girls to be 'pure' and pretend that they do not have sex on first dates or days together. The girls from my country do it all the time. I have introduced the subject of sex in Skype and email conversations, with an apology. They have all told me they were not offended and that they understood that it is a central part of a relationship so why not talk about it from the beginning. The only thing is those girls are not in the market. I have hardly seen any Polish, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Czech (beautiful women there) or other girls from these countries in dating sites. There are a few Romanians and I made contact with one of them but it is very uncertain. There are more Ukrainian girls in the market for foreign brides than in all the Eastern European countries, in th EU, put together. Shame. About the long writing periods, the problem is that the dating sites are not for pen pals. So you cannot just spend months wtiting to them as if they were just distant friends and then maybe one or more will become romantic liaisons. Anybody who is serious about using these sites is looking for romance straightaway, otherwise go to Facebook. In my case, I have to tell them romantic things like about their beautiful eyes, etc. otherwise they will see me as a complete time waster talking about football and always avoiding romantic talk, Once you are in the romantic talk, there is the need (mostly by the ladies) to meet in person.
