I am at present serving in her majestys forces but once my time is up next year I am leaving the uk and going to stay in Ukraine permanently. in the last 3 years I have visited Ukraine no less than 16 times probably more. she does have a son and the family made me feel very welcome from the outset. one thing I must warn people is that Ukrainian families in my experience are very close..... the babulya or grandmother runs the house hold and don't be surprised if the girl still lives with parents. dh7 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 2/1/2014 2:22:01 PM   WS: Please answer my question which I have asked you on other threads. Have you actually been to Ukraine even once? You don't have a clue what you are talking about, the girl you talk to could be legit or just a very good scammer that is thinking 3 moves ahead of you. One thing for certain Ukrainian women are not stupid. I am in Ukraine writing this from the Muscat hotel in Kherson, I am heading to Moscow tomorrow to start a project which I got myself assigned to so I can see Irina often. Do you realize this is not something you can do for less than 5-10k per year if you are in North America? That is without spending a dime on the woman. You will have to spend some money on her and unless you are some sort of miser it should not be a problem once you have some feelings for the person. Believe me Ukrainian women like to have their men do things for them, its not a requirement but it certainly is seen as a positive. They want to know you are a good provider and that you will take care of them, there are lots of men here who will treat them like crap. No need to meet someone from overseas for that. If you think she is going to fly back with you after one visit, the only women who do that are green card scammers. They want out and they will play someone like you for months if required. Meanwhile she is banging some local guy I can almost guarantee it. You would not of had a clue with the Irina's profile was setup she knits and bakes cookies in her spare time, she looked and acted like a complete angel in the profile. Nobody is going to wait forever, women get lonely and want companionship, and if she is looking for a green card you won't have a clue. To answer your question, I only come on this site out of curiosity and to read post from people like you who have no idea what they are getting into. I have no profile active, I will probably propose to Irina this summer if everything stays good and I will move to Ukraine to be with her. She is going to visit me in Moscow while I am there also. Girls from the FSU (Former Soviet Union) do not play by the same rules as you. At best its a "crap shoot" about their integrity and honesty. Their moral values are much different than those you are accustomed to. How do I know? I married a woman from Vladivostok, Russia. Three days after she received her "Greed Card" in the mail she demanded a divorce. Never saw it coming... thought everything was bright and rosy. I also spent 5 months in Kiev, Ukraine teaching English to the natives. I've only met one who didn't look at me as a "free ticket to the USA." Best of luck! For some reason, you seem to be the most vulnerable ones to this. It could be because of their perception of the USA: 'get rich there easily and do as you please' which attracts that kind of woman. There are many profiles of women in dating sites where they say: 'Only a man from the USA'. I have seldom seen one that says 'Only a UK man'. So you need to stay away from the ones that say 'only a man from the USA' Also, in many other countries, it takes longer to get a permanent visa (there is no definte green card)so they would have to stay married much longer to the original man or they get kicked out of the country. As I have said it in another posting, I think that most of us accept the fact that the FSU women want to be taken to the West but there are still many who are honest about it in the first place (some girls have said it to me) but they still want to make a commitment to the marriage and the man. I do not think it is imppssible to find out, during the courtship, what their real intentions are. All they need to do is claim abuse, and they are almost guaranteed citizenship. When an American man agrees to be a sponsor for a foreign woman, he agrees to do it for 40 quarters, or 10 years. So she gets a free ride, besides free airfare and a paid visa, etc!
