Over here in North America, where the worlds greatest migrations have taken place since the sixteenth century , we constantly see waves of immigrants from all over looking to start a new life, funny thing is they rarely come alone. They always come with a family in hand. Very few single people have the resources, courage and strength to start a new life in a different hemisphere, so this MUST lend to a population 'Left Behind', as well as other reasons. I know the same takes place in Europe, I was living in Southern Italy in the early nineties, just as peace in Yugoslavia crumbled. Overnight the streets filled with refugees who crossed the Adriatic on anything that floated. In London, there is a huge Mid-East populatin from what I saw, obviously attracted to the standeards of living and education for those who could afford it, but again, leaving those who cannot behind. Anyhoo, we are just cogs in the process. But what a wonderful reward at the end of it. Big T. P.S. Santa, my neighbour, wants me to tell you all to stop. Why is it allowed that on this one day of the year that a strange man enters your home without a key, often entering your premises though an open orifice and then precedes to empty his sack in your kiddies bedroom? Any other day of the year a man with the same motive would be arrested. :) I spent a little time (you sad bugger) looking at the origins behind xmas and various nursery rhymes etc - interesting stuff - that many fail to appreciate what at first just seem a bunch of words strung together. It's so easy these days to just say or do something without knowing what it is we're actually saying/doing or what it means. You have what you have so be happy with and make the most of it whilst you can and don't have an operation! I rarely lie and only really do it when I think it's the best thing for the other person whereas most people tend to lie to protect themselves, making them horrible horrible horrible people. I should introduce you to my ex, a classic b**sh*tter, quickly dumped. I can deal with difficult news or something I don't like (so long as it's not extreme, at which point I will kick off) but don't enjoy the feeling of suspicion when you intuitively know something to be untrue and to find it untrue, is just deceitful. I enjoy a relationship where you can be relaxed, yourself, open and not play foul to the temptation of jealousy, lies and all that goes with it. Or "How does this..." All these question all have only one response. "How Do I look?" -- Wonderful "Do you think this purse goes with this...?" -- It looks wonderful "How do you like the dinner (implication: that I slaved over for the last 4 hours while you played golf..) I made for you? -- It is wonderful, (maybe the addition of a cute name for her like dear, or sugar plum) Anything else and you flirt with disaster. Ok, these e-mails and first intros and first meeting everything is A-OK, wonderful woman, you're a great guy, you match, maybe you get married... Rmember one thing, these women are lovely to look at, but I think the russian spirit can be dominating. I recognize many traits these women share with Sicilian or Calabraise women, whom I think are wonderfully zesty... I think it was Olga who wrote earlier.. 'Men are the head of the family, but russian (FSU) women think they are the neck'... Wonderful. She is incredibly beautiful by western standards - and has a figure that you would swear could ONLY have been the result of implants. (But they are natural). By Russian standards however she could best be described as "medium" beautiful. (Doesn't quite have a perfect face.) When I met her just months after her arrival to the US, she answered my ad on Yahoo's Personals. She lacked English skills and confidence and thought I was doing her a favor by going out with her?!?! (if only....) Today she has better English skills and an even more improved (hyper inflated) ego. She is into everything New Age imaginable, and though she has looked for a man regularly - she runs the other way when she finds one. (Perhaps she swings a different way - or perhaps no guy is as perfect as she imagines herself to be.) i don't know what my point was here. I guess it was just a rant.
