Other girls can have your letter translated and typed out for them and they bring them home, then come back with a reply, maybe days later. Then it must be translated back to English. One lady accuses other ladies of being a "prostitute" for leaving friends and homeland in serach of better living conditions in the west. Other ladies in the same thread took great offense and defended their position - describing problems with Russian men and successes they have known of. In one thread I read of the concern that the ladies have of being proposed to and asked to come to America (or other western countries) after such short acquaintance through letters. Tony: many go to the agency daily, some every other day and some once a week, if they have private mail and know English then they can, if they wish to to the internet cafe every day, sometimes more than once a day, each is different as are we. As to cot, if she is using an agency then it can be as much as $8 every time you write and she writes you back, so if thats her situation be aware she might not be able to afford to go more than once or twice a week, and she cant afford to keep doing it on her salary !! Always do as much of the organising yourself as you can, and pay only deposits for flats etc. And last but not least, if She suggests using the agency for arranging things, then check the agency on all scam lists and only pay small deposits because until you arrive they wont have any big out of pocket expenses, so why do they want so much money up front ? f they insist on big bucks before you even get there, then Oh yes, thats rat I smell !!!!! There are lots of reasons to avoid paying big deposits or all in advance payments, such as : I may stay longer so I will decide how much to pay the flat owner when I know how long I shall stay, or I may not like the apartment so I will just pay for one/two nights now and decide when I arrive, or things may not work out and I may leave earlier than I planned, so I would rather book and pay for just a few days in advance, all acceptable reasons and if the agency cant accept them there is something not quite kosher !! tradman Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/4/2004 6:55:03 PM   have to say I have had no big problems yet, maybe I am too streetwise.)
