Plus the great hotel vs. apartment debate. Everyone’s personal experience (in FSU) is going to be influenced more by the local agency, than the website used. If you plan on writing a lot of letters,,, especially if it’s to more than one woman,,, the VIP membership is the way to go. The only beef I’ve had with this dating site,,, is that the letters are supposed to be translated by a translation program,,, and not by hand. Maybe I missed out on some good ones but that was my criteria. It demonstrates to me that she's got a level of intelligence and discipline to learn another language. Interpreters sometimes get in the way of intimacy between you and the girl. Oh, yeah and then there are the fakers - the ones that know English but fake that they don't so that you use their interpreter. I know of very few guys who want to use interpreters. That's just one example but there are many deals like this in different cities. Apartments are even cheaper. Generally what I do is check into a good 4* hotel w/breakfast and wifi. Then what I do is get chummy with the manager and tell him / her I plan to stay for a long time and what discount they can arrange for me. Generally they do. Sometimes they don't want to. Same thing with apartments. It's better for them to rent out a hotel room or apartment at a discounted price than for it to sit empty. It just depends on the length of time you plan to stay to see if it's worth cutting your own deal. For me it has been my last few visits to Ukraine. One instance I cut a deal with a guy who rented out apartments on Deribasovskaya Str. in Odessa. I got him down to 225 UAH / day. And this was a nice apartment with Queen bed and Jacuzzi, full kitchen. Instead of helping each other. Ok, emails I have done some "research" as I decided to only communicate with girls via email. The reason is that when I was a member a few years ago I got tired of endless communication via agency that never led to phone nr or email contact. So when I came back as member about 2 months ago I decided to only communicate wirh members who have email access. I noticed that the search option "only ladies with privtae email" was removed so I guessed that agencies were getting more desperate.. So already from first answer to girls that write me, I told them that I will only communicate via email if they wish to know me better after a few letters via agency. Many girls never wrote again but I have a handful that write me via email. They have all told me the same story that agencies say they are not allowed to communicate direct with men until after first meeting... And that they are not allowed to send email address or phone nr when they write letters. They also told me that they communicate from their homes, via agency site. They had no idea that I had o pay when I send letters via agency. Internet cafes are diminishing in Ukraine. I think I saw only one last time I was in Kyiv. Everyone pretty well has notebooks, tablets, smartphones now and wifi is ubiquitous. 3G/GPRS is also very very cheap. I think it's what these agencies and sites want you to believe. They want you to think that it's very difficult to get internet access, very expensive, etc. when pretty well everyone has it or has access to it.
