One reason for that is because this country is a "melting pot" of cultures and varied ethnic groups, so not observing political correctness could hurt you socially or economically and you end up ostracized. There is a more homogeneous society in most European countries (at least in the past). Much of it as a result of wars and bad economies. The same has been going on for thousands of years. After the first meeting is no less fraught with peril than before. Chemistry is essential to a Slavic girl and even if there is good chemistry, there is still no guarantee. I wish US immigration law mirrored the liberal slant that dominates the "politically correct" class. In the US just about any combination of couples is a protected class but yet one still has to marry for immigration while 50% of "families" in the USA are not married. further diluting the mix is just about any gender-fixation couple is possible. Only thing left to approve in Amerika is plural marriage and being able to marry your cat or dog. Because of how screwed up Amerika is I dont understand why its still so hard to allow BF-GF relationships to get visas when butt buddies can now do it. The marriage institutions are corrupted and very loose and getting worse. 'Why buy the cow with the milk is free'.... What is gained from signing a piece of paper... Tax deductions, fringe benefits, bringing companionship from another country, legally. Nowadays birthing kids is for economic purpose, not for that bundle of joy they bring to a happy family. If the math don't add up they are discarded or thrown away. Is easy to be a deadbeat father in a third world country like Ukraine than here in the States.....Don't overkill yourselves with same sex marriage issue here in the USA. No matter how good you can be, you have very small chances to flip a lesbian, maybe a bi- but if you ever know about it, you know that is not the person you will marry.
