No guarantee at all mate, thats the one thing you can be sure of in life, nothing is certain, apart from the fact that one day you Will die.
I'm not saying what she said is gospel, but the more I have seen over the years about scams and scammers the less interested I have been in Ukraine.
What I said about not writing to anyone from there for 2 years now is the truth, I just haven't talked much about the experiences I had there as I would rather forget them and move on, but I stand on what I personally have said, that I don't have the time and patience to tackle Ukraine again, but that doesn't mean no-one else should, or that some wont get very lucky like Glad has.
Its just another point of view, said to me while I was in Siberia, which brought this subject to the front of my mind, thats all, made me realise that subconsciously I have been avoiding these particular women, and hadn't really acknowledged it even to myself !! Just proves you are never too old to find out things about yourself that you didn't already know :o)
I wish someone would scam me, I feel a little left out, in two months, not one request for money, all send personal pictures and are forthcoming with private e mail, where am I going wrong, maybe I look poor;)
I beautiful woman-can cooking tasty treats, walking in mountains with with my love man. Please send $500 so I visit you tomorrow. Make check payable to Dale E. ---------- How's that, feel better?
Here is another twist to the subject. It did not surprise me at all that Tim's agency ripped Ukraine. I have a strong feeling if you asked him about another city in Russia his remarks would be about the same. One thing I have found in Russia and Ukraine is that they will not hesitate to insult each other. Russians think all Ukrainians are farmer girls and stupid. St. Petersburg girls hate Moscow girls and Moscow girls think they are better than everyone in the whole country. If your girl is from lets say Odessa Ukraine she will say insulting things about girls in Mariupol Ukraine. Omsk Russia girl will rip the girls in Volgograd. No matter where they are from they all think they are the center of the universe. It was so funny to discover this. Not once and I mean not once did I meet a girl or any other person say a good thing about another persons region. They might say the like the city. For example, "I like Kiev but the girls there are all prostitutes". The competition is fierce I guess! I have been to both Russia and Ukraine several times. Been scammed more in Russia but Ukraine followed later so maybe I was more educated by then. A seasoned warrior!
Wow...what a story, actually the problems between Russian and Ukrainian people come from history of 2 countries, and you can't do a thing with it.
But never met a hatred between girls from different countries, maybe never met girls you met????:))))))))
Its abit like Football supporters Den :o))
You wont find a Man U fan saying that Liverpool are ace, in fcat a Man U fan will slag off Man City and they are two teams from the same city as you might know !!
Maybe as you say the girls look on it like a competition in which they wont say anything good about members of an oposing team :o)
I knew about the dislike of Ukraine by Russians, and as you say, its an ongoing thing which has been raging certainly since the 1930`s as far as I know. "During the war" (now there is a quote Del` will recognise, Eh Del` boy ? ;o)) )
There was bitter treatment for the Ukraine by Russia and many Ukraine people died needlessly at the hands of the Russian army. A terrible and awful part of FSU history :o((
Unfortunately you're not correct, that dislike comes from deep history, beginning with 11 century and so on. And when on Pereyaslav Rada, Ukraine and Russia made a war treaty, Russia cheated Ukraine, because they translated the treaty in the way they wanted and Ukraine got under rulement of Russia. Unfortunately by that time Bohdan Xmelnicki, the one who made a treaty with Russia, died and he couldn't stop that thing.
And as for 30's you're right, the Russia made a false hunger on Ukraine, and millions of people died......
Honey, I wasnt saying it all started in the 30`s, what I was trying to say was that the 30`s was as far bcak as my personal knowledge of the hatred went, I suspected it went back a lot further but would not have said anything i wasnt sure about.
One thing I do know is that the deaths of Ukraine people at the hands of Russia in the 30`s was not confined to starvation, many were rounded up and shot too :o((((
Yes I know, my own family suffered in the times of the USSR, my great grandmother's family owned a small village...though they were not rich, they were left with nothing...so be sure that I know about that many things..
IM genuinly sorry to hear that, although it was long ago, I am sure that there are members of your family who remember it as though it were yesterday :o///
Unfortunately almost all passed away, my great grandmother died at 1996 when she was 94 years old. There are greatparents from my dad's and mom's side, and they still remember the war and hunger and everything about those times.
Wow !! 94 !!!
That was a wonderfully long life :o))
She must have been a very interesting woman to have known, I envy you that (in a nice way of course !!) Talking with older genrations has always facinated me, and to be able to converse with somone who has seen almost 100 years of history must have been enthralling :o)
Yes she was a very nice and clever woman with clear memory until the last days of her life. And I always enjoyed talking with her:)))
Actually in my family there are a lot of people who lived up to 80-90 years old.
I dont know how old you actually are (although whatever your age your intelegence and maturity of mind is obvious) but it looks from your families past record as if you can look forward to a long life yourself :o))
