I do repeat for everybody that before a registration of a new lady-client and putting her profile on the Anastasia website we check lady’s passport and take a copy if it. So, I sent a copy of Lana’s passport to Anastasia. After they’ve received it and checked all data, which were the same, they called me and asked to call Lana and find out if she knows Steve. The general rule of thumb seem to be never ever send any money, or never ever send any money unless you've met the girl and know to trust her. But some girls might be for real having problems paying for internet acces or stamps, in one of the succes stories on the internet the man mentioned that he almost lost his girl when he mentioned these rules to her. How to recognize truth from fiction? And that meeting is no more than a couple months away and letter fees are reasonable. I would have also had to talk with her via telephone. I could still end up be scammed but not for much. Too many people are out looking for scammers instead of looking for women. There are many good stories here about men finding their one and only. Try reading some of those. If the idiotic and naive men who send money to these people took the bare minimum of precautions to avoid being lured into these scams, scammers would be forced to find a different line of work. Every single one of the women I currently or have ever corresponded with knows without room for misunderstading that I consider cash gifts disrespectful and detrimental to the future of any potential intimate or serious relationship that may develop between us because they create undeserved/unearned financial dependency on her part. And if any of them tries to disagree with me by presenting what they consider valid arguments, I simply ask them to arrange a conversation with their parents (via independent translator) to discuss the topic openly. The last request has discouraged two women already from making any financial approaches. I nver corresponded with anyone who wanted to leave their country per se, just those that couldn't find a decent man..I have to point out, that Svetlana, who I intend to marry is probably in the top 30% income in her country, that makes her relatively better off than me:-))))....I agree totally with Toad, don't send money to anyone you have not met, or who asks for it.
