hi everyone. was looking up an article about moldova on internet and bumped into this forum...caught my attention, as i am a moldavian girl..was interesting to read your opinions. I lived in england for a few years now, studying and then working. I could probably give u some advice on moldavian women and the way the whole 'marrying a foreign guy' works for them. I know the mentality of the people over in moldova but i guess i'm a different case, as i've seen a different life. You were right that there are women that will marry a foreign guy becoz she's in love, although subcontioustly the thought of having a better life does the trick and they fall for the money/western life in the end and not for the person, that's why the marriages don't last very long. I think u just have to check and prove her love, and the one good way to do this is to see if she is willing to travel over to europe to see u.Moldavian women have a strong temperament but they are also easily influenced and volatile. So if she's trully in love she will do anything to get a plain and see u, with no excuses.
What tradman said, his girl didnt ask for support, is the most obvious sign that its not about money.
Not all moldavian women are after money, some have got strong morals and are decent. Whenever you meet the girls' parents will show alot aswell. You can tell by the attitude and the atmosphere in the family.
Anyways enough with philosophy, you'll decide when u meet the girl and it will be all clear! Moldavian women are not only beautiful, some of them are really smart and def good cooks! As tradman said a moldavian girl won't mind getting up in the mornings to make breakfast and will be happy to cook dinner and do all the housework.Plus they are good mothers. ;)
I think you also must use your feeling. If something feel good it probably is good, if it doesn,t feel good there is obviouse something wrong.
It is the same as you feel ill. If you feel ill the chance is very big you realy are ill.
Welcome Nadia,
Please could you tell me how difficult it is for a Moldavian lady to obtain a visa to visit England?
The girl I correspond with said it is very difficult for a single girl to get a visa to leave Moldova, almost impossible. She even says it is difficult to get one for Budapest Hungry.
I would be very grateful to hear your opinion.
That's where I found mine too, but lost her at the hands of The Pink Embassy - visit www.thepinkembassy.20m.com for further.
Russia's the reason for hightened security in Chisinau. Russia's become strong, and wants not only it's old break away republics back, but also it's old alliances back, such as those with India and Cuba. Same situation exists in Armenia, Georgia, Tajikstan and the Baltic states. It's already swayed Ukraine away from the US, and managed to keep Belarus away.
Amir, what a load of crap. What highened security in Chisinau. Security of what? And there was nothing to stop you going back to moldova to be with your girl and nothing to stop you reapplying for a visa later.
Metropolis, it would be hard unless she is well off and/or has traveled a lot to western countries. She needs to prove she has a reason to return. Its not impossible but not easy. And if they think she is going to meet you there then thats reason to think she maynot return.
Thanks Ben, I was thinking it would be difficult for her to get a UK visa, it was just that Nadia mentioned she lived in England that raised the question. I think she must have had a 'student' visa.
She isn't poor but she isn't rich either, and she once lived in Italy for a short time a long time ago.
I will hopefully be going to see her late September.
