They are even numbered, 1, 2, 3 --- Why not "nigger" and "niggah" when they are spelled differently? I always thought "niggah" not "niga". I do hear the "h". Of course, nigger is in the dictionary, but niga or niggah is not, but words are formed all the time. Although niggah has a different meaning or intended meaning, the problem remains. My problem with is blacks can use it and others can't without being labeled racists. If the meaning is different, then everyone should be able to use it. The problem is communication. This is not new. I heard it in high school. I graduated in 1975. Among my friends, were many blacks. Some of our jokes to each other were to make fun of each other. We told racist jokes - Polish, Filipino and yes, niggah jokes. They called each other ""nigger or "niggah" so I called them that too. They didn't mind at all. I didn't know the difference then until another friend who is black told me. I noticed he told others who were not black also. It faced the alley that was well travelled. My friend and I constructed this thing out of toungue and groove planks and assembled it with heavy guage angle iron and fastened it to the facade. It was a masterpiece. You could have used it to pull engine blocks from cars. Before we put it up we realized it needed to be painted. Being kids we found some old paint cans in his old mans basement. It was beautiful! Black rust-oleum for the iron. White for the boards. And it had a pink border with a blue swastika in the center. I had no idea what the goofy looking cross stood for. But it was perfect! There was a jewish couple that lived three doors down who passed it every day to park their car. My dad one day in horror noticed it. We had to paint over it and got the lecture of a lifetime. They wanted me to go apologize to the neighbors... We were just decendants of the Irish coal miners that were treated like slaves by the mine owners. My people never owned slaves. My people were almost slaves. My people helped slaves escape the south. So that is why I get so disgusted when someone who is black treats me with such disdain and overt hatred. Get over it already. I did! Call it ignorance. Ignorant people do stupid things. The world is full of ignorant people. For instance, look what is happening now in America. Ignorant people should not be allowed to vote. However, when push comes to shove, the intelligent electorate finally says, " Enough!" And that is why we now have a new republican senator from Mass. I have never heard anyone black use "nigger", even the well educated ones. Jesse Jackson called then candidate Obama, "niggah". He puts together posts and adds to it to make a story. He has: 1. Accused me of admitting to fraud. In two separate posts, I told of how I was asked to marry for money and I declined, and I married for real and had a kid with an immigrant. Nasfan put these two posts together and claimed I admitted to fraud. 2. Accused me of having used more than one login name in this forum. I have not. There is no way I can prove my innocence here, but there is also no way of him knowing. I asked him to name one login other the one I am using that I am supposed to be. He did not. 3. Using a derogatory word against Mexicans in the forum (simmilar to n....). I did not. I told him so. He made his search and found that someone else did. Not me. But, he maintained that since I live in Southern California where many Mexicans live, that I use the word. I didn't even know the word existed until he brought it up. I am relatively new to this Forum as you know, so I don't yet know everyone's story, and who's who. Although I have already been labeled a "Gifted idiot" so I'm fast learning who is just plain stupid and not someone I could learn anything from and respect, and who has a little intellect and I would like to exchange views/information with ! If there are people on here making things up then that's a shame, but, the nature of the internet, I guess. As for me, I am interested in coming here and exchanging views/ideas/information with decent people. I do feel that I have achieved my goal of finding an FSU partner, and in just 2.5 years, but I know there is still much to learn and discover, this Forum can help. I also feel that I have something to contribute to this Forum, and maybe I can help some people from time to time, especially perhaps because I live here in Ukraine now, I have a spare room in my flat, I have made some good Ukrainian friends here, I go to an Institute 3 times a week here and have Russian language lessons etc etc, all this gives me a little experience that may be helpful to others, especially new people just beginning their "journey" I'm also hopeful of maybe meeting a few of you from this Forum, as mentioned I have a spare room, and you are welcome to come and stay a week or so with me and my girl here in West Ukraine (just 360km West of Kiev) It would be wonderful to spend some time with another English speaker, show you around this great City, sit around nattering etc. But, I don't suffer fools easily, and I will not exchange drivel and childish nonsense with dumb wits on here, and I have no time for name calling and branding of other members, I simply want to enjoy coming here everyday and communicating with interesting people !
