You only get scammed if you are stuoid enough to fall for it. That is how I got into all this - a scammer. I had the foresight to do a little checking though. I used Elenas Blacklist and BINGO!!! 12 diferent names and the same number of cities. I have confidence this is going to work out. Just no more western women I have had it. It doesn't take much to set up a scam persona. And if you DON'T see the "girl" on elena's list a lot of guys falsly think she is legitimate - and send her money. Scams take all forms and guys who are scammed do more than just send ill advised money. ASomewhere in the depths of this forum is a story of a fellow member who fell in love with a scammer from a rural section of Ukraine. He didn't send her money directly but he went to see her. When he met her - of course she looked just like the picture in which she was portrayed - but she had no idea who he was and had never written to him. Later the gentelman was informed that another woman had actually written to him, but being shy or not good looking (or something she had used someone else's picture. Some guy volunteered to take out fellow member to see the woman who had written to her at an exhorbinant rate as a taxi driver. He was concerned that he was being set up for robbery... My point is that scammers do more than just outright request money. And just becasue Elena doesn't list the scammer doesn't mean he/she isn't a scammer. Russians are great at selling. They naturally tried to tempt me into purchasing all their services.. business is business, however, I settled for arranging meetings with girls selected from the catalogues, backed up by interpreters when needed. They were excellent. What I DID hear from someone who used to work for AFA was that AFA do not treat the girls very well. I did not press her for specifics. If you can't find what you are looking for - you aren't trying very hard. Sure, there are probably scammers listed here. Take time and be wary. I have found 2 women one from Fiancee with a child and another from Elena's site. I am talking to both. The one from Elena's is 40, no kids, seems to have great English and amazingly attractive. She seems to really like me and has made her profile inactive! I think Wess's harping on the ebook must have helped. I was able to use some of the techniques and my own imagination and apparently it was a hit. I'm impressed. The Fiancee.com one is 36 with a 7 year old girl and is stunningly beautiful. I mean drop dead. You'd never believe she was 36 with a kid.
