it is a pity that the 6 ladies that you arranged to meet did not meet you but that just sums up the mentality of a lot of women in ukraine.Basically these women are curiousty seekers.
The question of children is a big issue. If a woman is less than 40 and does not have children she will in most cases want them. If I was in my 30s I would certainly be looking to start my my own family and there are plenty of women in there early 20s without children to choose from. Being 50, choosing a woman under 25 is not an option, the chances of getting a visa for her to NZ with that big age difference tends toward zero. Nanny state wants to save us from ourselves. Most women in there early 30s already have children and so the options of finding one without children are dramatically reduced. There is no doubt that is the easy option, It is difficult for single mothers there. But do we really want the desparate. Do we want to just be a bank account. Add to that, there is the child, They can and do cause problems and the mother is going to side with the child (that is not yours) every time. But all cost for everything fall on you. The chances are the woman will never work. I already have a daughter, it would be kinda nice if she had bothers and sisters, but someone elses children will never be her relations.
Things can change but for me I take the long odds and look for that very special woman in early 30s without children.
FSU ladies aged between 30 and 40 do exist without children..they are far fewer and harder to find, Adman but I agree in some cases any women that has a child who re-marries into another family, it can cause a host of problems trying to blend different non-related families and a great challenge if the women and child are from another country and culture.
Getting an FSU women with a child creates a lot of immigration hassles with visa paperwork, special legal permissions are required from the FSU for the childs biological father to let the child be able to leave the FSU ( he basically surrenders his parental rights legally, a lot of FSU men may not do this without a huge bribe or financial incentive or just not do it all so as to destroy any chance of his ex having a good life in another country..motivated revenge!). Without the necessary legal permissions and paperwork in order, there will be no fiance visa issued, maybe for the mother but not her child and what mother would leave there kid behind to go to another country especially fiercely motherly FSU women..they are like what lioness is to its cubs..won't abandon until kid can fend on its own.
It has its pros and cons like everything..divorced FSU mother and kid can cause legal headaches in immi paperwork, qualification requiements will be tougher..might be a more stable option but with risk of mixing families might cause friction and instability and too much visa red tape too!
I see your point Adman.
An FSU women with a kid is not an option I would pick,,not for Australia.
As for nanny states, I think Department of Immigration in Australia is a bigger nanny and pain in the ass and frustrater than your Kiwi counterpart but I don't really know how immi works over there apart from the fact ozzies and kiwis are free to travel and stay in each others countries under the Trans Tasman agreements.
Each to there own and it may suit some but not all!
