Ok, take LJs example. A guy asks his wife to prostitute. Marriage is still an affiar between families. Gal will complain to her family, which will complain to guy's family, which will complain to guy and considering how outrageous the suggestion is, the guy will never propose such to his wife, which is far fetched, but it even happens when a guy fails to carry his marital burden which primarily has to do with bringing home the bacon, and vice versa for guy against gal too. Worst situation for a guy is that gal would have too many adult brothers and him none, and her brothers use force to straighten out the guy (like Godfather). In America, a guy can take a gal to any restaurant, but a Russian girl expects to be taken only to better family-class diners.
