As regular rreaders know - I first went to Odessa on a Romance Tour. There were literally 200-250 GORGEOUS women there on each of the three nights of the Romance Social. I DID feel like a kid in a candy store in that any girl I spoke to wanted to go to dinner with me and spend time with me. It was like GUY-HEAVEN. I settled on one lady and went back to see her for three weeks, but had a small falling out with her. So I decided to try elsewhere. At the time Ukraine required a visa to enter and it took some time to get one. Latvia DIDN'T however - so I decided to stroll into the country, announce to the women that I was there - and just take in all the wonderful dates. Well was I in for s surprise. Without the benefit of the Romance Social - women weren't clamoring to meet me. I went to an internet cafe and spent a solid WEEK writing to any woman who's address I could get. MOST had no interest in meeting me since I hadn't bothered to write to them sooner. They assumed that I was a sex-tourist or that I had originally come for some other woman and was now hedging my bets. After eight days - I finally met a gorgeous 23 year old Latvian lady who I spent the remainder of my time with. But I was certainly hmbled by the first WEEK of this experiment. jetmba. I had FOUR or FiVE dates during that time. But they were all desperation dates (on my part) and complete mismatches. One lady ONLY wanted to have serious economic and political discussion. Another lied in her profile and said she had no children, when in actuallity she had twin seven-year-olds and an agreement that they visit their father at least twice a year. Another lady spoke no English at all. With no translator we couldn't communicate at all and she literally walked off before desert came. I had dinner companionship - but nothing more. Having been to Latvia 3 times in the past 12 months there is a totally different mentality and lifestyle to that of Ukraine. Since Latvia escaped the occupation of the USSR it has done very well, why would a Latvian want to leave their country any more than another European or American etc. would? On the other hand Ukraine is a third world country, the chances of it ever being accepted into the EU might be a very long way off and people (ladies) hope for a more comfortable lifestyle such as the Latvians enjoy in Latvia.
