Why is that not at all surprising. You know many types of mental illnesses are hereditary. You get it from the genes your parents have given you. If you haven't been in a mental institute yet - I am sure its coming. We have a saying "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." It means the child is very similar to the parents. And you child's father was in prison? Why is that not surprising either? The US has the highest incarceration rate of any country. More that 1 out of every 100 people living here is in prison NOW. Yet I personally don't know anybody who has ever been to prison - I would never associate with such people. But your EX was a criminal. We have another saying "Birds of a feather flock together." It means people ted to associate with their own kind. No wonder you are so messed up.
