Feel free to write about any experiences you have. That's what this forum is all about. Newcomers (and some of you have been around awhile) are ALWAYS welcome here.
Its when guys come in swinging at anything that moves or calling others idiots or phoneys without having a clue, that they get jumped on. There is a wealth of information here from guys who have written a lot and some who never have - and all welcome with open arms. But here as in ANY old established group - a new guy who blatantly attacks an oldtimer just for attention is going to get a negative response. That shouldn't surprise anyone.
My twopenneth, fwiw, Ukraine girls are very down to earth and as a generalisation, not stuck up them selves like a typical western girl... having said that i have encountered girls out there that are only after a good time and have no serious intentions, i have also encountered some very genuine western girls... the point being it doesn't really matter where you are in the world there is good and bad everywhere. They are generally a very beautiful race, and summertime there is paradise as they show off plenty of flesh - but if you want to give yourself a chance, learn the lingo and dont expect miracles - if your not the best looking bloke and a bit overweight, dont expect to get a young slim and stunning girl fall in love with you - down to earth they may be - stupid they are not. The greatest thing i have found about Ukraine is actually the blokes, i have some really good genuine friends in Ukraine who will do anything to help me out, they have been invaluable with setting me up with dates. thats all, carry on...
the guys i have met in ukraine have been fantastic and so friendly. i guess i got lucky with olya. i am a bit overweight and she is a perfect 54kg, 5'3", 32C! lol! yep... generally a very beautiful race and i can't wait to be there next summer! it's ok though... other guys looked at her as much as i looked at other girls! and i know why they did! :-) /pete
My tuppence worth...Ukrainain girls are very beautiful...especially in the south. In Crimea a lot of the girls have a dark appearance...black hair, dark eyes and white skin.
Girl I knew there in some aspects, from photos she sent, looked like an Persian princess. That was until I went there and realised that this look seemed to be unique to the Black sea area. Saw girls with similar look in Kiev and Simpferopol and reckon they must have come from the south...just my thoughts....might be wrong.
Most beautiful girl I ever met was in Kiev and had this look...unfortunately she was stuck up, smoked like a chimney and didn't like anything...I mean nothing could please this girl....except sex..and even then there were provisos...like she didn't like it in the morning...which is a pity since most guys wake up with a thing that could break toffee or chase gypsies out a tent with...still her loss.
Girl from Crimea...more a woman actually..older than Miss Kiev by a good ten years, was much more down to earth, said what was on her mind and took no prisoners if you did or said something that didn't suit her...but great woman...absolute dynamite.
Bigted is right..there are great women in any country. But in Ukraine...from what I've seen there... they just seem more positive about everything. Despite the hardship some of them face each day, nothing seems to get them down.
Guys that go there and expect something special will get it alright...but only if they are pretty special themselves. Just because a guy travels thousands of miles to meet these girls doesn't make them special or entitled to anything.
Guys complain about the attitude of these girls when they arrive and just don't cut it.
The girls at these socials sitting there looking at the oddball Americans trying to impress them with their baseball caps and power ranger gear on.....well what must they be thinking...anyone know Ukrainian for.."you're joking right?"
"much more down to earth, said what was on her mind and took no prisoners" ... that's my girl for sure!
"they just seem more positive about everything. Despite the hardship some of them face each day, nothing seems to get them down" ... yep, that's her too!
relationships are relationships. if anything it is much harder with a girl from a foreign country. it's taken us both about a year and a half to decide that we really want to be together. for sure.
as for the "Persian princess"... that's her best friend yulya. i went to see her family near the black sea. she is fantastic too.
With all the crap that's floating around this forum at the moment, I thought it was an appropriate time to bring this thread back to life.
When I first started reading the forum I learnt a LOT in a very short time, even though I had already been to Russia, and some of it was stuff I wish I had known before I went (but that's water under the bridge now). Now, although useful information is still popping up occasionally, every topic seems to have been hijacked by the personal war between Nasfan and danny, and I'm just as sick of it as most of the other contributors.
If the moderators (are they on holiday? I haven't seen any posts from them for weeks) aren't prepared to step in then I'll join the ranks of those who've left, disillusioned by a forum that has become a scam in itself. While I really do sympathise with Nasfan, because I too would object pretty strongly to my wife being called a whore, keeping the fight going in public does nothing except alienate EVERYONE ELSE who visits the forum.
Now that I've got that off my chest...Happy New Year!
Just today, alone, there has been more pollution of this forum by individuals, having not made the effort to realise the facts, complaining of others supposedly polluting this forum.
This is bl00dy ridiculous, if you don't want to read a difference of opinions then ignore it and move on, I've merely been having a bit of fun regarding danny and his, claimed, fleet of aircraft, a.k.a. 'Air Dyslexia', for phucks sake some of you, get a life, get a sense of humour, FSU ladies appreciate a sense of humour, and if you can't then at least get a life!
Martin offer some constructive criticism pertaining to the theme of the topic and stop making it your personal war with Danny. We (fellow forum members) just don’t want to read it. It's your problem and we don't want to be involved. Post your quarrels to the new topic I started just for you nasfan and danny... then you don't bother the rest of us!
Read what I said, I've merely been playing with the dyslexic one, if there is any personal war going on then I am not involved in it, instead we have some prick, in another thread, saying that I am 56 years old, an old subject and I don't even believe nasfan accused me of being that old before it was proved that he was mistaken, and now we have the dyslexic one, and Fredricko, and I think another, trying to re-ignite well worn out previous battles between nasfan and myself.
It is you guys trying to start a personal war, I'm cool, I'm chilled out, I'm merely having a bit of fun, however I do not need to read the cr@p you wrote in a PM to me, I do not need to read the lie that Fredricko is posting about me, as for the dyslexic one I won't write a book on that subject, so how about you guys stop trying to stir the sh1t, stop trying to restart a personal war, and get your own houses in order before you start pointing fingers?
Here's your big chance danny. Since you are the forums most prolific liar. Cite one single post where I ever called your partner anything else but that. Here's your chance blowhard. I also Challenge, Kirkland, Mini Cooper and Gecko the same. It's not my style. So go for it.
You're PM's are ultimate trash which I will post in the other thread since you won't let it die.
I thought it was about time that I resurrected this thread (the first one I ever started) as, once again, the Forum pretends to be the Titanic reincarnate. It is now MONTHS since there was any post by a moderator, and all the crap is resurfacing at a faster rate than oil from the blown well in the Gulf of Mexico.
For what it's worth I'm now three months away from heading back to Russia, and this time I'll go to Ukraine as well. There are heaps of questions that I want to ask - a couple have been answered in recent times (quite by accident, I'm sure!), but there is one website that I've seen no reference to, yet it looks extremely promising.
IHA.com (and its European cousins) is for (amongst other things) apartment owners to offer their dwellings for rent, and the rates I've seen are generally well below what you find on commercial rental sites. There are plenty available in Russia and Ukraine, and I was wondering if any Forum members have used the service. If so, what was the experience like? Did the apartment(s) meet your expectations? Did you have any hassles? Was it value for money? I would be very interested in your comments.
