Jetmba, maybe Kiev is like Chisinau, as people say in Moldova its just a big village. Its bad luck but when your juggling two girlfriends you have to be more careful. But at the end of the day it may have good results, a bit of jealousy can be a good thing?
Jealousy can have its advantages. Perceived competition can certainly be a good thing. UNLESS it actually breaks a relationship as appears to have happened regarding my Ukrainian who I truly did (and do) have strong feelings for.
There may be some slim hope of yet resurecting that relationship yet - but its miniscule to slight. The good news is that Valentines Day is soon upon us and she is an incurrable romantic. The bad news is just about everything else.
I hope you're not thinking of buying her something for Valentines? You know the rules, be a tight git, don't spend any money, and make her something from driftwood, why don't you make her something like a toilet seat and send that to her, next thing she'll be having your baby!
In answer to your question - I didn't notice much doom and gloom in any part of Ukraine. Someone once said that Kiev is the only major city in the world where a band can set up on the main street and everyone will drop everything they are doing and party. And that upbeat attitude seemed to continue despite the economic problems.
Hey pointed eared hobgoblin, do you have plans for Jet's submarine kit. I want one.
Speaking of Failures, Maybe instead of Aircraft Kits you should get on the House building.
Jet....FYI, a girl I am writing to, wrote me one time she went into a restaurant and saw her friend's husband dining with another young girl, made eye contact with the husband and walked away. I told her maybe they were just getting together for a drink or snack. She said no because
'he had a guilty look on his face'.........without knowing what you said to your ukrainian girl, when the sister saw you, you probably had that 'guilty' look on your face and walking out further showed guilt. Too bad you couldn't have just sat there calmly and introduced the friend and then walked away slowly......then maybe any story you told may have been believeable.
I would send the flowers to girl.....she is in the drivers seat, as they say......
JET - to be honest you should have made your mind up once and for all along time ago but ... as it was your Moldovan played her gambit and won. You could look on it as flattery - that she so single mindedly and ruthlessly persued what she wanted (you).
