UNLESS it actually breaks a relationship as appears to have happened regarding my Ukrainian who I truly did (and do) have strong feelings for. There may be some slim hope of yet resurecting that relationship yet - but its miniscule to slight. The good news is that Valentines Day is soon upon us and she is an incurrable romantic. Someone once said that Kiev is the only major city in the world where a band can set up on the main street and everyone will drop everything they are doing and party. I told her maybe they were just getting together for a drink or snack. She said no because 'he had a guilty look on his face'.........without knowing what you said to your ukrainian girl, when the sister saw you, you probably had that 'guilty' look on your face and walking out further showed guilt. Too bad you couldn't have just sat there calmly and introduced the friend and then walked away slowly......then maybe any story you told may have been believeable.
