The dietary restrictions you refered to above were released in Matthew 5. Others are still in force. (For example, God promised to never destroy the Earth again by global flood.) It's interesting to me that many groups point to Leviticus as the sole source of their Biblical law. For instance, the homosexual cabal often site Leviticus prohibition against homosexuality and the consumption of shellfish by Christians as some sort of double standard.
