He signed that Affidavit of Support required for his wife to legalize here. It is important to note here that this form is required for all people being sponsored, not just a wife, but also her children, or the sponsor's relatives. It is not just for FSU, but for all immigrants from all over the world. I am not an expert on this form, because I do have questions. In the event of a divorce, I wonder if the provisions of this signed form is incorporated into the divorce decree. I know that if the immigrant becomes a US citizen, your obligation is over. But, if she doesn't become a citizen, does that mean forever?
