Perhaps he was not the most eloquent of speakers but his mind was a lot sharper than many give him credit. ooops - capitalized a letter by mistake. the left wing media rules this country -- and do not deny it. why -- the assholes in hollywood who many americans believe are all knowing and suck up to. their opinions... give me a break! the electoral college was brilliant in the days when it was necessary. that is, there was no mass communication or internet or computers that could calculate the vote in real time. the electoral college served a purpose to send the vote when it was horse and buggy time! if the founding fathers had known, or rather had been able to see into the future, wouldn't they have ascertained the fact that the elctoral college was a temporary need? and then realized as modern means of communication had arisen there would be a better way? today we can count votes in real time -- if the system would allow it. i am afraid until there is a standard form of voting - and don't even think by interent (fraud)that we will have to endure this archaic system for what it is. as for minority groups voting --- I cannot wholly agree with ben2006. yes it is a fact that the votes were bought. and those democrats used the system to brainwash many of the minority voters. hell, when you see a black person proclaim that they "... won't have to work, Obama is gonna<sic> take care of us." - then you understand. The whole election was a sham. And this guy is out of control. Obama is a great speaker. So was Jim Jones who got all those people to drink poison koolaid. And he is going around the world kissing asses and apologizing to most everyone. For what? Because we as Americans care about the rest of the world? Shit, if my tax dollars were spent here in the US I wouldn't have to bust my ass working long hours to live comfortably. Yet, there are those who don't do a damned thing -- and I am supporting them. Many not because they can't. But because they refuse. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is barely the tip of the iceburg! Does anyone realize how much money the USA spend supporting other countries etc...? We spend enough on useless programs and foreign aid that every American can live in a very nice home and eat well forever!!!! Not to mention that every kid would have free college education. If anyone gets an abortion they should be "fixed" right then and there! Unless it is of course a pregnancy due to some illegal action. And both parties should be "fixed". I don't care if it some dumb hi school kid knocks up his girlfriend after a Friday night football game. If the girl gets an abortion - both of them get fixed. Shit, put me in charge. Things will improve greatly. And I'll tell you what. The line at the welfare office will go down greatly. Shit! There are so many unwed (minority) mothers it is laughable. I will say though that when there were a series of protests for illegal immigration, there was very little counterprotests. Yes, I can see that the media is liberal biased. The liberals won the election on the war and economy. They used President Bush as a punching bag. The president can call news conferences and address the nation on what was happening. The fact that oil is traded in USD means that all oil trading nations reserve huge amounts of money in US banks - permanently. When the UK buys from Saudi Arabia, how do you think the payment is actually made? It's just transferred from one US bank account to another. And we are talking big bucks here - so much its difficult to imagine - all sitting in your bank accounts earning your banks, and your economy, lots of coin. Economies like Swizerland and Lichtenstien are propped up (sometimes completely) through foreigners storing money in their accounts to avoid tax, but this is pocket change compared to what's stored in your economy by all oil dealing nations on earth - including those you've given money to. All I'm saying is that money flows in all directions, and it's inaccurate of you to suggest that the US is somehow the cash cow for the world. I won't get into any of the other stuff, you and RB seem to be having too much fun. Incidentally, a few years back, Iraq was proposing switching it's oil trading currency to the Euro. Not any more of course. Now, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but....
