Durak:
How do you buy tickets for the train in Ukraine on line. I did not know it was possible.
I has made arrangement to meet a lady in Kiev. Once she flew yo Kiev on a ticket I bought her and another was by train. We had met already in a more proper way on another trip. If a lady is going to meet a man not on her own turf, She should have a chapperone (?). My concern when we were converging in Kiev that I would be delayed for a day. It would been a great expense for her to get a hotel room. I had made contingent plans to have my brother make arrangements for here if I was delayed. It does happen, I fortunatly was delayed a day on my way home andnot on the way there. Just a thought for the gentlemen out there.....and fodder for the jack-asses

I have the links for booking all types of travel in Ukraine on my webite. Please PM me and I will send you the links. There are good Rail Service, Bus/Coach service and Internal Flight connections here in Ukraine.
I reasontly travelled by Train from Kharkov-Kiev-Lviv-Poland and back again. The trip was excellent and not expensive, but you need to book the better trains, as some are bloody aweful.
If your flying into Borispol (kiev) the easiest connection to Kharkov, and elsewhere, is by internal flight or coach, because it saves getting to Kiev centre. My advise is Don't drive here, I do everyday, but you take your life in your hands!
The standard of driving here is mostly crap (as are the roads), many of them just buy their drivers licence (you can buy most things here with the right amount of cash!), without having any lessons!
I have 30 years driving experience in UK and have taken my Advanced Motorcycle Test and I have never seen driving like it anywhere. The police just want to stop the locals for a cash bribe and are not interested in the safety of road users. Keep off the roads is my advise !
I have a little experience of Ukrainian roads and driving standards. I would be constantly anxious if I were driving there.
Literally the first part of Ukraine I saw, was the stretch of highway from Boryspil airport toward Kyiv. It is a very nice, smooth, multi-lane divided highway. And it was obviously built to impress visitors -- as far as I know, there is no other road in Ukraine, as good as these few kilometers! Some Ukrainian roads are like the surface of the moon :)
But believe it or not, driver conduct is even worse in Russia. When Ukrainians see a really awful example of aggressive driving, they sometimes say, "он водит как русский," "he drives like a Russian."
It has been my experience that the drivers in Russia are much, much, much more agressive than Ukrainian drivers. I remember it was an accepted practice for the cars to drive on the sidewalks along with pedestrians in Velikey Novgorod in order to avoid a traffick jam or accident or just to avoid a red light... the police were non-existant.
Mini Cooper - here the black jeep brigade love to drive down the rail tracks that are next to the road, so not having to stay in queues like the rest of us. Great to what the old man in his 30 year Lada have a go, bumping over the track, really funny !
I've not seen anyone drive down the side walk here, maybe I will start the craze here , show the locals how crazy the English can be too !!
NOT-SO-SMART MARTIN
Yes I said English again !! well good, you see I like to watch England play rugby, football, cricket etc, also I enjoy to watch Wales and Scotland play as well.
Ask a guy from Glasgow where he's from - answer Scotland - similar answer will be from guy from Wales !
Most people here ask me am I English, not British. We speak the ''English'' language, not British, as do America, Australia and so on. Did you study British O-level at school or English O-level - maybe you were just CSE standard instead, but it still would have been called ''English''! I was born in England, which is part of the UK. Sorry if this a problem with you. So yes, I'm bloody English, as many of my friends are Scottish and Welsh.

kharkovinfo.com is not my site. My site, to which I refered to in that posting to Durak about travel details, is; kharkov-for-rent.com.ua/en/ If you read the post again, I told Durak to PM me for details. You do really need to get a life !
If anyone should be in any doubt then just Google for "kharkovinfo.com" to see the extremes individual(s) will go to to to advertise a website in places they are not supposed to ..... even down to a fake hotel review on tripadvisor.
