THE TROUT ARE A-WAITING FOR ME! Fish the Madison lower to upper, then the rivers of yellowstone. and then the lakes in yellowstone and teton for some big trout! snake river is too high for decent trout fishing until later in the year. quality time in yellowstone wins out over small side trips. two weeks in yellowstone/grand tetons!!!!!! any fisherman in the US may want to try quake lake - 'earthquake lake' in montana just north of yellowstone. it is an interesting story how this lake was formed - google it. it is a trout mecca - little known secret. I wish I was going with you!!! I haven't fished for Trout much,, mostly Northerns and Walleyes. I sometimes try to catch Blue Gill, Rock Bass and Small Mouth, around home here on the bay! If you catch one,, you'll catch your limit! It might takes 2 or 3 trips to do that?? The Dakotas' are known for having a lot of pan fish in the smaller lakes, any year we don't feel like going to Canada, we might try N or S Dakota!! Are you taking your PC with you,,, if you don't, you'll miss all the action on the forum!! Say hello to the Mrs,s for me!! Have a great trip!!
