I can tell already by how you wrote that she is taking each word you write to her very seriously already. Age difference? I have an even bigger gap, but looks go a long way. So if you look great, age has no bearing at all. In fact, I brought this up a half-dozen times to my own girlfriend. Even her friends told me that it is very accepted for younger women to be with older men for stability, sincerity and real support for all life. For a girl to join the agency, it is for them to open up their possibility to have a real relationship with a caring man with real potential for marriage and a better life. As I mentioned before and seen first-hand... Ukraine men especially young men are not very sincere in regards to serious relations they cannot afford. My girl will not even look at a young guy. Her family trained her well that they will use her for sex and discard her. Her best example? Her own best friend who was disowned by her own family for having premarital sex against their wishes in a small town. Your age gap? She is very lucky. Most men go for the younger 21-25 year olds without children. Long distance relations? Yup, agree with both of you. Very very difficult. You need to meet in real life. It will be time when she will be even more nervous than you to make even the smallest mistake or saying the wrong thing. Make sure to treat her like a queen, and that doesn't mean to buy her anything... just means to be gallant and noble. Open doors for her. Let her take your arm (not hand) as you walk down the street. Make sure to walk around the best part of Odessa. There are some really cool restaurants in Odessa... Falconi (it is open 24 hours I think) Bulvar (the most romantic italian restaurant and great first meeting restaurant) Columbus (near the black sea and during summer a high-light open air restaurant event) If budget is getting in the picture, try some pizza places and some local restaurants. Ukraine food is very similar to western food. Lots of meats and potatoe meals. Lots of fish and salads. Why ditch her? Don't listen to these guys who gave up and only can see scam artists and schemers. If you give up, you will regret it... If it doesn't work out? Then make sure to get back on the saddle quickly and meet as many other potential hopefuls as you can while you are still there. Please remember that too... It is the most important thing. I didn't get spiteful, but at times I was more than a little "disappointed" with the scam agencies and schemer agency girls. Yes those do exist as do the man-eating player women, but those happen to exist down the street from each one of you too. FSU offers a man the ability to date many more available females than any other country I know and I have visited many. I travel 75-90% of the year outside the USA. I have run my own agency of 400 women in South America... dealt with divorced older women with 3-4 children dreaming to find the rich young hunky husband. I have seen agency girls I knew personally join other agencies and scheme on men and having no real intention of a relationship. I have seen married men and players join the agency to lie and scheme and try to bed each single pretty girl in the agency with words of love... and then leave them, trying to pay less than they would for an inexpensive prostitute... boggles the mind. I have seen very old, ugly men in horrible health trying to marry the young beautiful girl. So when you guys come off to give advice that each guy going to Ukraine is a dumbass? It doesn't come off as wise advice. It looks like you guys are hurt and trying to get the other guys to go along to justify your pain. Yes, I have seen many socially-challenged foreigners in Ukraine, trying to meet the young, beautiful, sexy playmate agency girls. I rarely if ever talk to a foreigner when I am in Ukraine. The moment I hear someone speaking English I try my hardest to blend into the local population. I look Ukrainian and its difficult for people to know I am from the West. For all intents and purposes your pre-meeting relations look great. You don't have anything to worry about age gap, sincerity or schemes. Your girl isn't on a pay-per-minute video chat site. So that counters all the nay-sayers. Yet, the optional advice now: I do think that having backup options will help if something does go wrong at the last minute (no-show, argument, murphy's law, etc). You have an extra month. Don't think it is cheating or betrayal at this point. You can write other women because you never know what will happen. There are no guarrantees, but there is nothing gained when nothing is ventured either. ;) Above all, make sure that whatever happens, you will always respect this girl. Ukraine women can sense in a heartbeat when a man loses respect for them. And one negative can linger and haunt an entire relationship for all its course. I have said before that Ukraine is a harsh world unlike USA, UK, Australia or Western Europe. There are many women who don't want to leave Ukraine who join the agency to try to find a good man (for life). I not only heard of the scams, but experienced them from both angles (seeing it done to other agency men in front of my own eyes) and having to deal with it real up close and personal. I have seen the agency employees chatting instead of the agency girl I had just had dinner with. I have seen them try to block relations if you try to circumvent the agency and hire outside translators. That happened one time a really beautiful girl I had met in the past was reunited again with me. I was chatting with her on a pay-per-minute chat site and we argued and stopped all chats (I wanted my own secretary for all future meetings). Next day, she emails me and wonders why I haven't called... I have seen bad agencies, and bad agency girls. Generally the very pretty girls are the ones who are the ones to watch out for. Not only photoshop photos, but the fact that some agencies do pay employees to chat as the girl and write/read all letters. Girls who will get paid each hour for meeting a man and all gifts purchased become her own. So a prostitute with no morals can enter the fray and yes, it does happen. All girls do this? Not at all! Not all agencies let an agency employee chat as the girl. It depends on the moral values of the agency manager/owner. And it is a hard scam to address and counter. Although HRB does contact the girl when complaints are issued and ask questions about certain chat subjects to make sure it was the girl doing the chatting... I had been refunded several times in the past years for such scams. But lately that website was 100% sincere as to ensure that I was chatting with the actual girl. I cannot say this for Anastasia or Dream-marriage. I don't use those sites because scams are more common on those sites just for the reasons mentioned. While I think of it-- profiles can be very hard to get removed-- read that again for those that think profile removal shows someone being serious. On Profiles--- many variations on this-- profile might be then used by agency for its own purpose ie-- earn income from letters and chat. The photos in profile may be image of someone who has never been on site-- that is never.It is possible that girl gets paid for photos to be used .Video chat does not help here either.Let me give you an example-- girl comes in for an hour or so a week to do chat.Then the tape is used repeatedly--endlessly!! The person doing chat can be chatting to 10 at once-- do a quick calculation on the $ coming in!! that is a serious earn per hour.In fact--it could be and probably is a guy that is doing the chat-- that is an absoloute fact!! I actually got one to appear on screen!! I have many examples-- some of you may say I am dumb!! to believe any of it in the first place-- but I am not fussed to spend a few bucks to get where I am trying to go.One more ( one of many I could tell !!)--I got on great online-- with what I know now was someone who was very clever and smart.Even when I said I was coming soon it was handled skillfully--I still had too little info-- that was what made me think more.In due course--I found the person in the photos--relatively well known in Ukraine!!--- I thought-- I will surprise her and phone her for fun.Phone was answered and voice said it was her manager and could I call later.Phone did not answer-- so I sent email( I had found all info on her--including address ,email,phone numbers-- and much more). A day later I got Skype request-- I answered.When I finally got her to put on webcam--it was her in disguise!!!She is actress/model--I recognised immediately-- but played along as if I did not realise.In reality-- at this stage-- she only knew that I came from website-- but knew nothing more at all-- so she was being very carefull to establish who and what I was.In due course-- she became comfortable with me and told me the whole story from her side. I only realised that she did not have a clue about me after I spoke live to her.Out of all that we became friends!! Her photos(real) and so called profile-- are still on website .So in a roundabout way--I did meet a real person thru that site!! Yes, I have brought up the issue of encountering many scam agencies, scam translators and game playing insincere agency girls to my fiance and also our personal translator. They understand the difficulties I endured to create a real relationship. JayH. Re: My (our) Testimonial on HRB Katya (My fiance) was the first to write her own testimonial a few days before our reunion. We had broken up in emails after our very first meeting because I didn't trust her enough. I caved into the mindset of all the hurt men who write all over the internet about how everything regarding meeting a girl through the agencies is some sort of big scam. What made matters worse, was I kept my profile on the sites and emailed girls about their opinions of my first meeting with her. Each had negative things to say about my fiance. (ie. She is using me, just for gifts, money, support, etc.). If I had come to the Forum here, I'm sure everyone of you would probably have agreed. Not one of those girls I emailed believed my Kate was pure of heart, good intentions. They all told me she was using me, and how sorry they were for me, and how much better they were for me... What I didn't know that I know now? Katya was very inexperienced about relations. She was extremely sincere, but she didn't trust men at all, let alone completely trust a foreign man with sincere intentions she had just met. All those problems (the breakup)were the reason behind her saying that there were difficulties. It took a while for either of us to wish to speak.write.chat each other... but we did after she understood, and I understood I had mistaken her sincerity. But our reunion was perfect. And now it a year later worth of more meetings, more trust and newer even more beautiful memories. Can I abandon her and meet someone else? Yes. But I don't want to.
