See the problem is Shine Bright is that many men are spending a small fortune on these sites. the women has nothing to lose in money or plane tickets meet up. maybe the agencies need to have strong rules. so men would be more confident to try. Hi Ozjohn! 1. If you wish to make such rules for women, then teh same rules should exist for men too. A woman should see how many women a man corresponds with. Though I believe that men will be the first who will be against this rule because as the practise shows men correspond to more women. But at the same time to my mind such rule sounds as a violation of all human's rights both for men and women. 2. It seems to me that men look at this system from another angle. You see, on such sites men pay not for corresponding with women, but for the translation of letters. So let's imagine the following situation: you are an interpreter who translated corerspondence between a couple. They send each other long letters and for sure it takes much time and efforts to give a good a qualitative translation. But after a couple of weeks a man says that he doesn't want to talk to that woman anymore and wishes to take half of his money back. So in such a way the half of your salary will be taken away. For sure you will be indignant because it was your work, you made your job well and it is not your fault that a client refused to correspond to that woman. And again, Ozjohn, the same as many foreign men you are confusing teh notions of local agencies and international dating sites. Sites have pretty strict rules for women starting from obligation to bring all their papers to confirm their personality and marital status and ending with different video approvals where they say that they confirm that they have come on this or that site with serious intentions, that they are aware of all rules of the site (there they usually confirm that they won't ask for any presents or money, that they are ready to meet men they have been correspondingw ith in real life etc). But what obligations do men have? Nothing! Any woman or local agency can't be sure that the man has real name in his profile, real pictures and all other information. We have plenty of cases when men pretended to me single or divorced and promised women to start serious relations but later it appeared that they were married and such trips were just a kind of vacations for them. So do you think that it is fair? I realize that such sites are not free for men but it doesn't mean that it should be like a market of women where any man could come like a buyer and buy any woan he wishes. STOP paying the girls!!! It only gives them an incentive to commit FRAUD!!! The purpose of joining an agency should be to find a man,,, not to earn spending cash. STOP the intro spam letters! It is not “match making” it is FRAUD!!! Make the women write a PERSONAL to each man, each time!! STOP your interpreters from lying for the girls,,, when we pay their fees, the interp should be working for us and not the other way around. If the girl is meeting with another man,,, or has left town,,, do not say that she is sick,,, or too busy with work. Tell the truth!! Do not write/fabricate the letters for the girls,,, it would be nice if the girl knew a few things about me after months of letter writing!! If YOU have any questions,,, please feel free to ask!!! For sure I understand that it is your negative experience that talks for you now. But if I was unlucky to buy fake Dior perfume, it doesn't mean that all Dior's perfumes are like that. And as for intro letters, here I completely agree with you but agencies can do nothing here, it is the site's politics. I think the girls have to write to many to get one response. Many will not answer. I think the first letter as an introduction about herself is understandable if it is distributed to many and even all. And I will confess you that there was only one who asked me for that. It was just before a man should come, any way she was removed from the agency immidiately, even not meeting a man. And we found a good lady for that man during his visit. She was the only one. You see, that if the agency works well and have engaged and married couples, usually the advertisement is friends of friends, so only people who are seriously looking for man come to such agency. And if I could only do this by myself I would stop spam letters, stop online chats (as most of ladies who spend there much of time, they are paid. by the way, I don't work with chats). I'm very sorry to hear that you had not successful experience. Did you think over the reasons of it? You can send me a PM and I'll try to help with the mistakes you possibly made. They were not mistakes, but it's really not easy for foreigner to understand true intentions of the lady. So if you fall in love before coming and she told you comliments and love stories, that it could be already a mistake. I hope you understand what I mean. My personally, I don't respect agencies who pay girls, not because I'd like to tell that there are honest agencies in ua and I'm one of them, no! I don't respect them because they make thie bussines dirty, because of them people can't meet each other and just waste their time and money. And in general, life is not black and white, it's colourful, if you have not a good experience it doesnt mean that all agencies and all ladies are bad, no! If they are paid, you can't tell if they want to be with you or they are in it for the money. I almost did not meet one girl one time when the agency insisted that I pay $125 per day for an apartment in Kiev. It was letters for her through the agency. Her tone suddenly changed. I don't believe it was her writing anymore (perhaps it wasn't her the first time). I know that I once $85 per day Boryspil Hotel. Boryspil is not in town, but apartments are also supposed to be cheaper. I thought $100 per day was reasonable and would be great if it was less. A $25 difference might sound bad, but we are talking everyday for almost two weeks. In the end, the girl met me anyway and I got the same apartment from the agency for $100. I had sent the girl money on two different occasions. One was to fix her phone (Danny got on my case many times for this. I did see her phone. I did see why need fixing). I did not want to get there and I could not call her. The second time I sent money was for train fare from her town to Kiev and one day's worth of apartment. I gave a little extra for her pocket money. This agency put a dollar amount in everything. Since I communicated with the girl through the agency, the girl told me that an agency representative went with her to pick up the money I sent her on each occasion and got their "fair share" of 10%. Furthermore, the girl told me not to tell the agency of any gifts I gave to her. I’ve had an age gap ranging from 14 to 23 years with girl ages 21 to 30 at the time,,, one is now 35! I know what you are going to say,,,, Too young,,, but,,,, I didn’t find any difference in sincerity amongst the age range. I showed some photos of myself with my ex who was 21 at the time,,, and everyone thought we made a great looking couple. I want to start a family,,, not marry one! I am looking for a woman without children, and it really doesn’t matter to me if she has been married before. It has been my thought, that the woman shouldn’t be over 36, because I don’t want to have a child with her until she at least has her green card. It takes time to get to know each other, and time for the visa,,,, and I don’t want to put future mother and child at risk!! At 36, she might be too old to begin the process?? The women’s love and affections all hinging on whether I rent a flat or not??! The list I made wasn’t my personal list of grievances, but rather a compilation of all men’s complaints. Paying the girls is mostly about the chat system,,, and I don’t chat, but they must also get a little money from the letters. Some girls had absolutely no reason to write to me,,, they already had boyfriend’s, or “other” reasons why they were not eligible or available to marry,,, so why did they write to me??? I’ve said it here a hundred times,,,, The number one goal of every girl is to get you (the men) to their city!!! Taxis, interpreters, apartments,,, the big argument is that the agency can save “ME” money. I’ve stayed in nice hotels that were cheaper,,, used my own phone that was cheaper,,, transportation to their city has been 50/50. I have a real dislike for apartments,,,, I had been locked out of one the 2nd night in Tver’ , 3 hours north of Moscow in January,,,, after 09:00pm. No phone,,, the agency forgot to give me what I had paid for,,, and I could have died because of that. Taxi drivers that didn’t know the English word “hotel” ?! I arranged interpreters taxi apartment and transportation on my own. you just need to let them know you have arranged these things yourself. I still think 50 dollars is a lot of money to introduce you to a lady but it seems the going rate from an agency. They need to make money also since they invest time and money setting up an agency in hopes of getting perspective clients. just because you get introduced do not expect there to be sparks, it is just another date there my not be an attraction from either of you. The simple test is love feels the same where ever the woman is from. Honestly from the 400+ letters I got from my wife I was already in love with her before I got on the plane to meet her. When you find her doing things you spot long after they are done. Things to take care of you....thus can't be faked for months on end. When her actions are so thoughtful you have never seen anything like it.....you know she's for real.
