I don't really care if the members speak, read and write English perfectly. I just don't want them to sound like idiots in multiple languages, which you seem to do perfectly.
Ditto,
let's try to distinguish between language skills and argument put forward...
re. 'broken english' vs one or more (other) languages: i don't know about Albert Schweitzer's english, but i guess it was not as good as his german and his french...
(just example of person born in non-english part of world).
-and Putin is probably better at russian than at english (?)
idiotdetector,
I think we agree: as long as the message can be understood, perfect english is not the main point.
Actually, the ladies here will have english as 2nd or 3rd language. 'Broken english' does *not* mean that they do not have one or more perfect languages!
GLTALLTOAD, you wrote:
".... Glad to know FSC women do shave.
My seem trivial or borderline picky, but pit hair on women is a big turn off.....pppphhheeewwww, relief!!!

-did we finish here?
-or can we wax lyrically about women (US vs FSU) and hair removal...
???
by the way: (generally) When are children expected to leave home in the FSU?
(18? 28? 38? -never? [the parent(s) eventually move into a retirement village])
Most females leave when they get married, that's why they want to get married so they can leave home. Other wise they stay with the folks and then when the parents get old they are still there taking care of them. Very strange that 30 and 35 year old woman still living at home I thought. It is so different there, they actually love the parents that much to stay with them. Different value stucture.

-actually, in some places in 'the west' it is quite common that 'the kids' stay home at that age - but probably more for economic reasons!!
(studying for their PhD or having a high power job and building up an investment portfolio while they are not paying rent...)
Little Ivan had been taught to be a man and stand up for himself. When he moved to the USA with his mother he tried to stand up for himself when he was teased in school.
Until his step-father had to have a talk with him and his mother about the risk of the other children's parents' law suits.
