So if everybody needs to speak English, to understand each other, why can some guys not communicate with you in English? Or clearly they can get on with their lives without speaking English and if you want to communicate with them in their country and region, you learn their language. I've been to Estonia several times. I like Tallinn and you could just meet girls on the street who were very talkative and friendly. The first time I went not that many people spoke English but now there are many more people who speak English in Tallinn. It's easy to get to with easyjet and of course no visa. You Prick, I enjoyed 2.5 years of living and working in Ostend, Belgium whilst earning a bucket load of money whilst paying zero tax, I thereafter enjoyed 3 years of living and working in the world's richest country (Luxembourg) whilst, on paper anyway, staff at McDonald's earned more than me, I also enjoyed a summer, whilst earning two bucket loads of money, living and working in Netherlands and I was able to enjoy all these, and revenue from these, because of the EU "open borders" situation. Since then I have waved "bye, bye" to UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, indeed the EU to a tropical island in the Pacific yet you seem to be under some disillusion that I have a problem about EU nationals living and working in countries other than their own. I've been standing on these (forum) street corners for some 15 years now observing guys like you coming and going, guys like you that think they've discovered the wheel, these days I just stand and snigger at such naivety. You're attacking me over three remarks I made regarding (1) that many of the men of this island don't speak English, that (2) Some Lithuanian nationals had informed me that 10% of their nationals were more recently residing in UK and (3) I made what was clearly a joke about Poland emptying in to UK. What you have difficulty comprehending, purposely or naively, is interpreting what is a complaint and what is merely mentioned in conversation ... 1. By mentioning that my builders hadn't spoken English, whether I said it is so many words or not, I was actually paying respect to my ex girlfriend that I couldn't have built this place without her, and: 2. Regarding the Lithuanians I was merely repeating something I had been told about Lithuanians by Lithuanians, they weren't my words at all, and: 3. It was clearly a joke about the Polish that everybody "got" EXCEPT YOU! First of all accesses to/from this island are restricted so if anything were to happen to me the chances of the assailant escaping from this island ... well! And gun laws here are even more crazy than in "USA", as a foreigner I cannot legally own/use firearms but I can carry a taser and CS gas (as I do) however the going rate for putting out a contract on an individual is around $120, but I reckon I could negotiate that down to $100.
