Rick,,, can you elaborate on that a little more??
How can government corruption help? Are you saying that the protesters of Maiden had it all wrong??
How will the EU ruin life in Ukraine?
What are you doing in Ukraine, that you must operate outside of the law? "
The EU agreement places significant restrictions and "standards" on products from Ukraine.
The "standards(sic)" the EU requires will nearly double the cost of living for most Ukrainians. We are already seeing the required
devaluation of the currency. I can now get 12 UAH for a dollar and the EU short term "target" is 15 to 1 by 2015
By the end of 2015 energy subsidies must end which will double energy prices.
As many as 4 nuclear reactors (nuclear powers 48+ percent of UA electric)must be taken offline by 2020 with no provision to help pay for 4 currently under construction.
I can go on about all the negatives about the EU such as forced recycling.(in Poland you can be fined for throwing a plastic bottle in the trash...et al.
regarding "a little corruption is good",
I prefer being able to give a cop 50 bucks to avoid the pain in the ass normally associated with a traffic stop or some other
legal "infraction"
I prefer to give the train cop 10 bucks for being caught smoking on the train when I smoked or for drinking.
I like being able to pay the court clerk to get preferential court dates for adoption hearings.

not true. Ive been in Ukraine since 1985. Ive got an apartment in same neighborhood in Kyiv for many many years now. only some of the names on the
storefronts have changed in all that time and too many people have cars. I remember when the Hotels Slavutych and Intourist were built.
Very little has changed with dating habits with the exception that a very small amount of girls actually want to meet a foreigner and move "west".
Aside from the dating sites, I havent met a majority of girls who would rather live abroad.
I brought a girl who was a very talented trauma surgeon to the US to be married. After 6 weeks she was ready to go back to Ukraine despite the fact that she could be earning 200k per year in 4 years after marriage. She wanted me to pack up my stuff and move permanently to Ukraine. I couldnt as my kids were too young.
WS wrote: "For us, there are only the datings sites with women who have already made the decision that they want to marry a foreigner and go to live in his country. It is a deal that suits lots of men like me."
and there are plenty of those that will go to your country. Its a matter of finding a genuine one and being in love.
and:
"Did you say you have had a 22 year old girlfriend for 5 years so you met her when she was 17??? "
yes, she lied about her age. I had to look at her passport to find out the truth. Its one of those "on and off and on again" things.
It did, however, prove a point that I have stressed over and over again on this forum. And that is you absolutely cannot write to a girl for 6 months
and finally meet her and expect she will be ready to marry you after your 1 week vacation in Ukraine. It normally (99% of the time) doesnt work that way back in your own country and it doesnt work in the FSU either.
It takes EFFORT, TIME AND COMMITMENT to find a good foreign girl to marry. You will fail miserably if you only come over once
or twice a year for a week each time. After I divorced I thought I could just come back to Ukraine and find a girl to marry quickly. WRONG! although
I will admit that I paid a friend of mine $100 to introduce me to a girl in the early 90s. He did and we were married a few months later.
It did last 15 years, lol. But she really really wanted out of her situation. ( 2 kids at 20 in 2 room flat. Husband beat her and drank too much....hmmm, that sounds familiar....some things never change haha.

“TomZ
Keep trying to form a team against me, if you think it helps you, who has joined? “
WS,,, Remember,,,,, you’re not really paranoid, if people are actually out to get you!! But if no one is out to get you,,, then you are really paranoid!
Oh yes, LONELY joined TomZ, a deranged individual who comes to write here what he should be saying to a psychiatrist. Admittedly it is free for him to write here as an analyst would have charged him quite a lot by now for the hours of drivel he has written.
He clearly does not have any genuine interest in FSU women other than to say that they are all scammers and that all have tried to steal from him. It sounds like paranoia is one of his afflictions too. His only interest in this forum is to come and pour his venom on FSU women.
Well yes, we agree on man points, the main one being that there is no such thing as Mail Order Bride as the Western women and media want to believe. The big problem is that many men believe the story too, then they end up like 4re. He wanted to go and buy a wife and look at the disaster that followed. It is actually more difficult to find an FSU wife than a woman of your own country but the rewards are bigger if you do.
Of course it is not true that FSU women only date men 5 to 8 years older. That is what Western women do. If that was the case, for FSU women, the whole FSU woman/Western man marriage 'industry' would not exist at all.
Of course you cannot write for 6 months, then visit for 1 week then marry. But the 6 months writing help at least for both to get to know each other and prove that they want to sustain the relationship.
Also, in the case of the British embassy, they want proof that the relationship is long lasting and not that the couple met one week before, or they will not give them the fiancee or marriage visa. I keep every message and every photo of the ladies I spesk to in case the time will come to apply fo their fiancee visa.
For me the solution is to try and visit the girl a number of times, for as long as possible, or invite her to come and stay with me for a month or so (I hope TomZ is not reading this) to find out if we can be together AND in this country.
You have experienced this, thst surgeon took only 6 weeks to realise that she did not really want to be in your country.
Who said that the majority of FSU women wanted to live abroad?
Yep, Love is important and the word seldom appears in this forum. I think there is one appearance of the word Love for every 50 Scammer ones.
"He clearly does not have any genuine interest in FSU women other than to say that they are all scammers and that all have tried to steal from him"
They are not all scammers and I've never said that. My current gf is in Ukraine now and she is not a scammer. She works hard and earns a good living. She certainly has never tried to steal from me. Even has paid for me in the café from time to time and I pay for her. It's our little thing we do.
Yes, there are many scammers and professional daters in the FSU and I have dealt with them over email and in person as well. When I read questions in here I respond to them based on my own personal experience as well as other experiences I have read about. I am trying to save guys heartache and misery by steering them away from scammers and professional daters. I think other guys in her appreciate my advice and sharing what I've experienced.
I think that you are the one who is deranged WS or clearly you can't read.
I haven’t joined any team you little bitch! I don’t know TomZ,,, neither has contacted the other!
But he is right about you,,, you are mixed up! You talk about going,,, but don’t ever go! You talk about finding cheap airfare from Uk to Ukr,,,,,, that is cheap airfare!!!
“All FSU women are out to get poor LONELY”
No,,, 99% of agency girls are out to get anyone they can! Is that why you are so afraid to go???
WS has some serious psychological problems. I pity any woman that gets involved with him.
He's already admitted he lures women from the FSU to his apartment in the UK with a promise of a new life in the UK. He does this under the guise of "I want to get married."
After he tires of her (usually after 3 weeks) and getting what he wants, he kicks her to the curb telling her things are not working out.
About your previous girl, the surgeon, I hope I am not being too practical about it but, of the FSU women I know, who have married British men about 75% work at least for some years in their marriage. I tend to favour the ones that work on jobs on which I know there is a shortage of people here in the UK, especially when they tell me they want to work. These are nurses, doctors, carers of little kids, nannies and others like this. I find it difficult when they tell me they want to work on jobs that are saturated even for local people. However, an advantage of these girls being young is that they can adapt and change the type of job they do. They can always work in my businesses but that risks ending up in conflict. Unfortunately, I do not need Russian-English interpreters in my line of work.
Rick,,,,, The people of Poland and former East Germany claim to have a better standard of living since moving towards the west,,, are you saying that it won’t be the same for Ukraine?
Isn’t the current devaluation due to the war? Is the future devaluation for adapting to the Euro?
Why do 4 reactors need to be taken off line, not up to code??
I guess I would rather pay $50 than to spend the night in jail,,,, but doesn’t that encourage graft?

I guess it depends on what you mean by better. If it means everything costs more and lots of new rules and regulations then I guess so.
Poland was doing well before it joined the EU in 2004 however average salaries still are only 40% more than Ukraine at $7,000 vs $13,000 per year.
Poland is facing serious challenges because 82% of its electricity comes from coal which is subject to hefty carbon taxes which go directly to Brussels.
one of Ukraine's affected EU mandated reactors supplies 7% of Poland's electricity and 50% of the electrical needs of Kraków.
"Isn’t the current devaluation due to the war?"
not really. It may have some effect but part of the deal with the EU and IMF is that Ukraine National bank stop supporting the currency
and let it be devalued. The association agreement even sets a 15-1 UAH-USD target for the first year alone. today we hit 13-1
"Why do 4 reactors need to be taken off line, not up to code?? "
up to code? just EU envirowhackos who think all nuclear energy is bad. The EU wants any reactor over 30 years of age to be shut down regardless of its
reliability or condition. Poland gets 10% of its electricity from one of the affected reactors
TomZ has no option, to defend himself, but to make up a whole story about my living trials with ladies: that I live in an 'apartment' not a house, that I have brought only FSU ladies, that I am poor but rich enough to bring them, that loads of them will do what I tell them to give up their lives at home to come to me for sex, that I dump them but no they dump me, I could go on.
TomZ, don't give up your day job (if you have one) and try to become a scriptwriter, your stories would not even be believable to 5 year olds. Even they would say they stink.
But then how could you become a writer, when you cannot even read my messages properly? :-D
For the list of questions discussed by Rick4girl, the only one that may be an issue with me is the one about moving over to her country or staying for 6+ months/year. That is quite impossible for me. I am still employed and do not do any kind of foreign business related work. In fact, I have only travelled one time for a vacation in the past 12 years. So to devote a lot of time being out of the country is a very unlikely scenario for me.
I have been introduced to many ladies (in Asia) many years ago when I travelled there with my relatives. I also did correspond with some of them after I visited with them. I guess the same would apply to dating there and I would have needed to visit there for an extended period of time or move over there. However, from my pesonal experience, a few of them were willing to try the fiancee visa route if I would be willing to sponsor them after only meeting with em a few times. One difference between dating there is that the introductions are not random and by chance. Both parties are connected to someone who knew a person of the other party. So the background of the person was not a complete mystery.
Yes, being able to meet them for the first time and in their country for a few months is great for those who can do it. But for me, like you, the dating website is the only route, with the risks it brings.
On a short business trip abroad I made a while ago, I used the opportunity to visit a girl I had 'met' online. On the third time we met over there, she organised a dinner party at the flat that she shared with her mother, with all her friends. That was a good sign.
Hmm.. some of these message updates show up several days after they were submitted, so you have to check back to see if any later update was made.
After becoming eligible (that is to become serious about dating), it took about 20 years after I graduated just looking around. I am not the dating type. I had one serious relationship that lasted less than 10 years. I am nearing the end of my working years and do not expect to keep working until I "drop dead" like some people in my agency. I also do not expect to spend many years dating others either locally or internationally. If I had a chance to redo it over again, I would have taken a different route over a decade ago and that would have provided me more flexibility than I have now.
Anyway, I will just take a brief shot at it. If nothing else, I will get a chance to visit another foreign country and that should suffice. Recent article says that raising a child takes nearly 1/4 of a million dollars. If I raise 8 kids like my grand parents, that would push me close to the poor house. But they did it with less than I have.
